Do you normally wake up in the morning and feel sluggish, or just feel like not getting up at all?
Recently, I’ve taken quite an interest into what makes people feel the way they do about life, and why some are just miserable a lot of the time compared to those who feel like they’re ‘on one’ and nothing can get in there way.
How to Wake Up in the Morning Feeling Amazing
There are lots of things you can do to improve the way you feel everyday when you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror. I’ve tried to explain these below so that you too can live everyday proud and enjoy life to the fullest.
Here are 6 steps to wake up in the morning feeling amazing.
1. Wake up an Hour earlier
Might sound slightly confusing at first, considering you probably hate getting out of bed, but look at it this way. No matter what time you wake up, you’re always going to have that lag from waking up to wanting to get out of bed.
As long as you’re already getting a good amount of sleep, then waking up an hour earlier will be a really good idea.
An hour of extra time in the morning can improve your day by letting you get a little bit more work done, as well as help you prepare for the day ahead of you.
2. Look After Your Body
Sure, it’s an obvious one. Look after your body by eating healthily and exercising regularly. If you don’t start doing it now, you’ll slowly see your physique and your health deteriorate instead of improving.
So head to the gym when you can and hit it hard. If you’re telling yourself you don’t have time for the gym, have a read on body weight exercises.
They can be done anywhere at anytime so no excuses. Take care of yourself, and over time you’ll notice improvements when you look in the mirror, boosting your confidence and mood.
3. Embrace the Music
Music plays a huge part in all our lives. It’s all around us, so embrace it. Everyday, listen to some songs that motivate you and get you psyched for your day. Whether it be in your car to and from work, in the morning when you get up or in the evening when you get home.
So sit down and get some playlists sorted, and then listen to them when your driving to work, going to the gym or doing some work. Music is powerful and I think you’d be amazed just how much difference it makes in motivating you for the day ahead.
4. Manage Your Time Wisely
The more rushed you are in your daily life, the more stressed you are. So take steps to manage your time better and improve your productivity. It could be that before you go to bed at night you get anything ready for the morning, such a packing your bag, preparing your lunch etc.
Anything that will make tomorrow easier for you will help you to get up feeling great.
5. Have a Long Term Plan and Take Action
We all feel a little happier when we actually have goals in life and a plan to get us there. After all, if you have a plan and you’re ready to take action and enforce it, you know that things can surely only get better for you.
So if you’re not exactly sure of your life goals, try and take a minute to have a think by yourself and write them down. Then decide how you can reach these goals and put your plan to action.
I guarantee that people with a plan are far happier and more motivated than those without.
6. Learn to Enjoy Life
Try not to worry too much about things. There are lots of small things people worry about that really isn’t worth it.
So even though you may now be constantly thinking about your goals and desperately wanting to achieve them, don’t forget to take the time out to relax and enjoy life, otherwise it’ll pass you by with the blink of an eye.
Now that I’ve gone through the 6 simple steps to wake up feeling unstoppable, I’m going to quickly recap them in short below:
- Wake up an hour earlier
- Look after your body
- Embrace the music
