Introduction

Doja Cat is an American professional rapper with an estimated net worth of $10 million.

She has earned millions as one of the boldest female rappers in the world. After finding success in 2012, Doja has released three studio albums, 36 singles, and 27 music videos.

While she is currently taking a break from the industry, she is still making music when she can and is expected to make an eventual return in the future.

Quick Facts

  • Doja Cat started her career in 2012, uploading her first single, “So High,” to SoundCloud.
  • Her debut EP, Purrr!, was released in 2014 by Kemosabe Records.
  • She went viral in 2018 with her novelty song “Mooo!,” which became an internet meme.
  • A remix of her song “Juicy” was awarded a platinum certification in 2019.
  • In 2022, Doja Cat became frustrated with her career and announced her hiatus officially on Twitter.

Early Life

Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini was born October 21, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, to Deborah Sawyer and Dumisani Dlamini.

Shortly after her birth, she moved to Rye, New York, where she lived for five years with her maternal grandmother.

When she was eight, she moved with her brother to the Sai Anantam Ashram commune in Santa Monica, where she practiced Hinduism for four years.

Her family later moved to Oak Park, California, where she started taking dance lessons, but she also experienced a lot of racism due to her and her brother being the only biracial kids in the area.

Having learned Indian classical dance at Ashram, she moved on to breakdancing, eventually joining a poplocking troupe in LA, who she performed with throughout high school.

During her junior year, she realized that music and performing were all she cared about, so she dropped out of school to pursue her dreams.

Career

After dropping out of school in 2012, she spent a lot of her time learning to create her own music by scouring the internet for beats and instrumentals.

She taught herself to rap and sing, and in late 2012 she uploaded her first song, “So High,” to SoundCloud.

Her career took her to the underground hip-hop scene in LA, but once her music was discovered by producer Jerry Powell, she was introduced to Yeti Beats, who invited her to his studio.

Yeti was able to connect her to Kemosabe Records, where she was signed under executive Dr. Luke.

She released her debut EP Purrr! in 2014, and her remade single “So High” was featured on the Fox series Empire.

However, in 2017, she started experiencing writer’s block, which led her to decline a collaboration with Billie Eilish on her single “Bellyache.”

In 2018 she released her studio album Amala with Kemosabe Records, but it was largely ignored by critics and failed to reach any charts.

Fortunately, she made a comeback with her novelty song “Mooo!”, which quickly became a viral success, spawning numerous internet memes.

She found more success in 2019 with the release of her second studio album, Hot Pink, which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard charts.

In 2020 she won both New Artist of the Year and Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist at the American Music Awards.

She was placed on Time‘s “100 Next” list, which highlighted up-and-coming popular figures, and rapper Lil Nas X wrote her entry.

The same year, she released her third studio album, Planet Her, which opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

However, in 2022, she started publicizing her frustrations with the music industry, and in March, she officially announced that she was leaving the industry for an unspecified amount of time.

Career Earnings

While Doja Cat currently isn’t one of the richest singers in the world, she has earned an excessive amount of money during her career.

Although not all of her earnings have been made public, we do have some information about her average earnings.

  • Doja Cat has earned an estimated $12 million from her YouTube channel.
  • From each video on her YouTube channel, she earns roughly $479k.
  • She is projected to earn up to $40k monthly from streaming and royalties.

Personal Life

Amala Dlamini tries to deter interest in her personal life, preferring what privacy she can get from the public.

We do know that she was in a short open relationship with Jawny, an American musician, in 2019, though the pair separated in February 2020.

In May 2022, she revealed to fans that she needed tonsil surgery due to vaping and had to cancel her summer festival appearances due to the issues impacting her voice.

On social media, she is active on her official Instagram account and her official Twitter account, where she posts selfies and interacts with fans.

She can also be found on her official YouTube channel, where all of her music videos are posted.

In 2022, Doja Cat listed her Beverly Hills mansion for sale after purchasing it a year prior for $2.2 million.

With a price tag of $2.5 million, this mansion is tucked away in the mountains and protected by a state-of-the-art security system.

The main level of the luxurious home is an open-concept living, dining, and family room that is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows and a large midcentury fireplace.

It also has two guest bedrooms on the first level, whereas the penthouse master suite takes up the entire second floor and features a huge row of closets and a spa bathroom with a modern concrete bathtub.

Reid’s second income stream outside of television is from book deals, having published three books thus far:

  • Fracture (2015)
  • The Man Who Sold America (2019)
  • Medgar & Myrlie (2024)

The financial details for all three books have never been publicly disclosed, and so we’re unable to know the values of her book advances and potential royalty payments.

Introduction

Anthony Edwards is an American professional actor and director with an estimated net worth of $40 Million.

Edwards is most widely known for his portrayal of Dr. Mark Greene in the first eight seasons of ER. For his performance, he received a Golden Globe and six Screen Actors Guild Awards. He has appeared in various movies and television shows, such as Top Gun, Zodiac, Miracle Mile, Revenge of the Nerds, Planes, Northern Exposure, and Designated Survivor.

ER Salary

Anthony Edwards was the leading cast member for the TV medical drama, ER, and was paid accordingly. When we previously discussed Noah Wyle‘s salary on the show, we mentioned that there were slightly differing reports on the length of Wyle’s contract. According to the Washington Post, in 1998, both actors reportedly signed four-year contracts. Other, more recent reports suggest that the actors’ contracts were only three years long, but they might be referring to three seasons, split across four years.

In any case, Edwards’ contract was worth $35 million, which over three seasons would equate to roughly $11.66 million per season and $530,000 per episode. This figure is specifically related to seasons six through eight. There is, unfortunately, no confirmed information related to his earnings for seasons one through five. That said, some sources have suggested he may have been earning between $100,000 and $125,000 per episode in the earlier seasons.

Edwards starred in 181 episodes of ER, earning $35 million from 66 of those episodes. Even at a $100,000 per episode baseline for the earlier 115 episodes, he would have earned at least an additional $11.5 million. Thus, this would bring his minimum earnings to at least $46.5 million in total, based on these rough estimates.

Highest-Grossing Movies

Although Edwards is most commonly known from his long-time role in the television series ER, the actor has had several box office hits. The highest-grossing film of Edwards’ career was 1986’s Top Gun, which grossed $180 million domestically and $357 million worldwide. The production budget for the movie was just $15 million, producing an impressive 2,280% return on investment.

Some of the other films to feature in Edwards’ top ten list include Planes ($357 million), The Client ($118 million), Revenge of the Nerds ($41 million), and Thunderbirds ($28 million). The oldest film to appear was 1982’s Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which grossed $27 million against a $4.5 million budget. After adjusting for inflation, that $27 million would be worth $87.9 million in today’s currency.

Here’s a complete list of Anthony Edwards’ ten highest-grossing movies:

  1. Top Gun – $357 Million (1986)
  2. Planes – $240 Million (2013)
  3. The Client – $118 Million (1994)
  4. The Forgotten – $118 Million (2004)
  5. Zodiac – $85 Million (2007)
  6. Revenge of the Nerds – $41 Million (1984)
  7. Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise – $30 Million (1987)
  8. Thunderbirds – $28 Million (2004)
  9. Fast Times at Ridgemont High – $27 Million (1982)
  10. The Sure Thing – $18 Million (1985)

Real Estate

Dana Point Beach House

In 1998, Edwards purchased a 2,104-square-foot beach house in Dana Point, California, for $1.525 million. Over the years, the actor has invested cash into restoring the five-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom property. In 2010, Anthony began renting the property out to people for between $8,000 and $12,000 per month, and in April 2023, he listed it for sale at $6.5 million. A buyer was found the same month, paying $50,000 over the asking price, which totaled $6.55 million.

Upper East Side Penthouse

In 2015, the actor acquired a 2,700-square-foot penthouse in the Upper East Side of New York City. According to public records, the unit was listed for sale at $8.45 million right before Edwards purchased it, but the final sale price remains unknown. In 2020, he listed the penthouse on the market at $7.65 million, which is $800,000 less than he paid. Since then, it appears the property has been on and off the market, with no confirmed sale.

Last Updated:Aug 9, 2025

Vanilla Ice is an American professional actor, rapper, and television host with an estimated net worth of $12 Million.

Ice released his debut album, Hooked, in 1989, which became a huge hit. He later signed a contract with SBK Records, an EMI Group record label. His 1990 single, ‘Ice Ice Baby,’ was his first hip-hop single to top the Billboard charts.

Ice Ice Baby Royalty Payments

Vanilla Ice released his iconic hit single “Ice Ice Baby” in 1990 through SBK Records, and to this day, it still generates millions of dollars per year in royalties. However, the royalty checks do not solely belong to the rapper, as they are shared with the original rights holder, EMI Music Publishing, and the estates of Queen and David Bowie.

After the single became an enormous success in the 1990s, the band Queen claimed that the bass sample used on the track was taken from their song “Under Pressure”, released in 1981. After the band threatened legal action against Vanilla Ice, the dispute was settled out of court, with the rapper agreeing to give the band a percentage of the royalties from “Ice Ice Baby”.

It’s been reported that the song still earns somewhere between $1 million and $2 million in annual royalties, with Vanilla Ice receiving a small percentage of this figure. Now, if you do a quick search online, you’ll find almost every source listing his royalties at $400,000 per year, apart from one that lists an estimate of between $100,000 and $300,000. For the $400,000 estimate, this appears to be based on a hypothetical 50% of Vanilla Ice’s $800,000 annual income, which was revealed in his 2018 divorce filing. Some reports suggest that his ex-wife specifically claimed $400,000 per year came from royalties, but we were unable to confirm this statement.

In any case, you can be assured that he still earns at least six figures per year from the song. However, we are now discussing this seven years after the $800,000 figure came to light. Thus, his royalty checks may have declined since then.

Divorce Settlement

Vanilla Ice’s wife, Laura Van Winkle, filed for divorce in October 2016 after more than 20 years of marriage, stating that the marriage was irretrievably broken, while claiming that Ice was worth a minimum of $10 million. In May 2017, Vanilla Ice countersued, requesting 50/50 custody of their children and payment of his attorney’s fees.

Divorce documents released in November 2018 revealed that Vanilla Ice earned $800,000 annually from all his endeavors, including royalties from “Ice Ice Baby” and earnings from his reality TV show The Vanilla Ice Project, which equates to roughly $68,000 per month. The documents also revealed additional assets totaling $9 million, including 15 properties valued at approximately $5 million, eight cars, a boat, and $3 million in liquid assets.

In 2019, a Palm Beach County, Florida, judge approved the settlement and finalized the divorce, reserving the right to bring both parties back into court if they failed to adhere to the terms. Vanilla Ice was ordered to pay his ex-wife $10,500 per month in support, along with $110,000 in back support payments, and was also required to pay an additional $200,000 to cover her legal expenses.

Laura Van Winkle took Vanilla Ice to court again in March 2020 after Ice was short on two alimony payments. The rapper responded that it was an auto-payment glitch and that the amount was being paid.
