Nick Saban was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on the 31st of October, 1951.

He grew up and graduated from Monongah High School and married his wife Terry Constable. Saban attended to Kent State University where he earned his master’s degree in sports administration.

Saban played defensive back for Kent State University during his early life and decided later to enter the coaching ranks. Don James hired him to be a graduate assistant, Saban later served as an assistant coach in NCAA Division I-A at several schools.

 

Career

Saban started his early career as a defensive back at Kent State University.

He started as a graduate assistant coach in 1973. Saban worked his way up the coaching ladder throughout his coaching career. He spent one season in the University of Toledo before he moved on in 1991 to become the head coach of Cleveland Browns of the NFL.

He returned to the college game in 1995. Saban was now the head coach at Michigan State University where he rebuilt the team over five seasons. Michigan State finished with a 9-2 record in 1999.

Saban was in his highest point of his career with his five appearances in bowl games, following a 13-1 campaign during the 2003-04 season.

Saban took over the University of Alabama in 2007. In his third season, he led the Crimson Tide to a 14-0 record with a victory over the University of Texas. Alabama was the top seed in the College Football Playoff after the 2014-15 season. One year later Saban coached Alabama to a 14-1 record, with another successful season with a 38-0 victory.

Saban’s success came after college football was a big business with millions of dollars spent at schools. He made the sports more competitive than ever before, Saban was the best college coach ever.

Saban’s coaching in the title game against the University of Georgia was especially bold as he benched his long season starting quarterback at halftime in favor of Tua Tagovailoa, who took Alabama from a 13-0 victory.

    At first, I don’t like him. He’s proven me wrong. He is Mr. Football’s brain. I’ve never seen such greatness in football, college or pro.
    He deserves every cent he works for.
    His gifts to many different organizations proves he is a very good, caring man. I’m sure he donates a number ce chunk on the side that’s never reported on his taxes. He instills this giving not only of ones self but of one’s gifts to humanity. He’s a strong Christian leader.
