He was promoted as a test driver for Sauber in Formula One in 2006 when he was only 18 years old and was able to win a few races, but not the title.

At the 2006 Grand Prix, he made history by becoming the sport’s newest driver – recording the top time in Friday practice during the second testing for the 2006 Italian Grand Prix.

He took part in the US Grand Prix, earned his first World Championship point, and set a record for the youngest Formula One driver to earn a point.

His first victory of the 2013 season came in Malaysia, where he also finished second to Michael Schumacher’s single-season record with 13 victories.

With three rounds remaining, he finally won the drivers’ championship for a fourth straight time.

2014, however, was not a lucky year for him – he placed fifth in the standings despite not having any victories.

According to experts, he was unable to change his driving style to comply with the new technical standards and took Fernando Alonso’s seat in the 2015 season at Ferrari Scuderia.

The test was successful because he won three Grand Prix races in the first season, defying his critics and silencing the doubting fans.

Vettel concluded the 2018 season with five race victories but finished second to Lewis Hamilton, who won the World Drivers’ Championship for a second straight year.

He has contributed to helping children build bee hives to help prevent an agricultural crisis due to falling bee numbers across Europe.

Vettel has raised the ire of the Canadian government with his rants about the Albertan tar sands petroleum extraction.

However, as he drives for Aston Martin, who manufacture some of the most expensive cars in the world and are sponsored by petroleum company, Saudi Aramco, it’s a bit hypocritical of him.

He owns a modest farmhouse in Thurgau Canton in Switzerland worth an estimated $7 million and is said to own other property in the area.
