Alex Jones is an American conspiracy theorist and radio host with an estimated net worth of -$900 Million.
Jones initially gained recognition when he began his career as a radio host in ‘The Final Edition.’ He released his first film, ‘America Destroyed By Design,’ in 1998, about the exterior influences on contemporary America.
He is best known for his talk show, ‘The Alex Jones Show,’ which is led by his parent company, Free Speech Systems, and his syndicated news websites, the most famous of which is InfoWars, which is very popular among conspiracy theorists.
Early Life
Alex Jones was born in Dallas, Texas, on the 11th of February, 1974. He grew up with his parents in a Dallas suburb of Rockwall in Austin, Texas.
Jones is of German, Irish, and English descent. He was the lineman on his high school football team and graduated from Anderson High School in 1993. When he was a teenager, Jones mostly read conservative journalism and conspiracy theories. After high school, Jones attended Austin Community College but dropped out after a short time.
Career
Jones started his career in Austin with a television program. In 1996 he switched format to a radio, hosting a show ‘The Final Edition’. Ron Paul was running for Congress and was a guest on his show several times.
Jones talked about his belief that the United States was behind the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. In 1998 Jones released his debut film, ‘America Destroyed By Design,’ in which he claimed that America was strongly influenced by the United Nations, the Chinese interests, and the Panama Canal.
In 1999 Jones tied with Shannon Burke for that year’s “Best Austin Talk Show Host,” voted by The Austin Chronicle readers.
The following year Jones began broadcasting from his home. Jones was one of the seven Republican candidates for the state representative in Texas in 2000. One year later, his show was syndicated on approximately 100 stations.
After the 9/11 attack, Jones claimed that it happened because of a conspiracy by the Bush administration. It resulted in a number of the stations that had carried Jones dropping his program.
In June 2013, Jones addressed international media for the annual Bilderberg conference in England. He gave a long speech to around 2000 protesters on the ground of the Grove Hotel.
Since then, Jones has been demonstrating across the whole US about his thoughts and opinions about different situations in America.
His website, InfoWars, has been described as a fake news website and has been accused of spreading conspiracy theories and hate speech. After InfoWars was banned from Facebook for violations of its policies, Jones used another site, NewsWars, to get around the ban.
The Sandy Hook Defamation
The biggest and probably the most well-known affair Jones was involved in was the Sandy Hook defamation. Namely, after the massive shooting in the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut (26 victims, most of whom were children), Jones used his InfoWars website to spread the opinion that it was a giant hoax and that the Sandy Hook families were crisis actors. He claimed that the whole massacre was staged by the government to limit the right to own guns to American civilians.
A few years after this, defamation lawsuits started to appear. The families of the Sandy Hook victims sued Jones for desecrating the memory of their loved ones and spreading lies about the tragedy. One of the families involved in calling for justice for such defamation were the parents of Jesse Lewis, one of the youngest Sandy Hook victims (6 years old) – Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis.
Jesse Lewis’ family managed to win the case, and the Connecticut court ordered Jones to pay both compensatory damages and punitive damages, which together reached $1.5 billion. Soon after that, the InfoWars parent company, Free Speech Systems, filed for bankruptcy. Jones testified he met some of the Sandy Hook families and understood they were real people, not crisis actors – he admitted to his mistake regarding the tragedy and showed regret but refused to comment on the bankruptcy filing.
However, there was also one more affair regarding the Sandy Hook court trial. Jones’ lawyer, Norm Pattis, had a disciplinary hearing on August 25, 2022, because it was revealed that he had shared Sandy Hook families’ medical records without adequate permission. Despite having to deal with strictly confidential data, he didn’t show any care when ordering his associate to send all of this discovery to an unauthorized recipient Kyung Lee, Jones’ former attorney responsible for his bankruptcy protection.

Endorsements
Before the 2017 NBA Draft, De’Aaron Fox reportedly signed a five-year endorsement deal with Nike worth $2 million/year. When the contract expired in 2022, Fox became the first NBA player to sign under Stephen Curry’s Curry Brand. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed publicly.

SwipaTheFox Controversy
In January 2022, Fox launched his own NFT collection, named SwipaTheFox, which sparked considerable controversy and left many buyers unhappy and out of pocket. After minting 6,005 unique NFT tokens at 0.85 ETH per token, Fox announced just one month later that he was shutting down the project, and made no mention of returning investors’ funds.
At the time, 1 ETH was valued at roughly $3,100, and thus, one token would have cost approximately $2,635. If we multiply this figure by 6005 tokens, the total figure amounts to $1.58 million. At the time of writing, Fox has not suffered any legal backlash from the failed project.

He briefly worked as a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group and also coded spreadsheets and designed PowerPoint presentations while pursuing music part-time.

Legend’s entrance into the music industry began as a ghostwriter, but after meeting Kanye West at an event, he was signed to the G.O.O.D. Music record label. In December 2004, John released his debut studio album, Get Lifted, which sold 116,000 copies in its first week, reaching 7th on the Billboard 200. The album was certified platinum in the United States within two months and has sold over 3 million copies worldwide to date.
Throughout the years, John Legend has released ten studio albums, including Once Again (2006), Evolver (2008), Wake Up! (2010), and Love in the Future (2013). While none of them sold as many copies as his debut album, many of them sold over 1 million copies and were certified platinum in North America.
In 2013, Legend released the single “All of Me” as part of his 2013 album, Love in the Future. The album itself sold over 2 million copies, but the single was the standout. In September 2020, John and Chrissy paid $17.5 million for a 10,700-square-foot, seven-bedroom, eleven-bathroom home in Beverly Hills, California.
