Brooks Koepka was born May 3, 1990, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and he attended Cardinal Newman High School before graduating and enrolling at Florida State University.

At Florida State University in Tallahassee, Koepka played college gold, winning three events and becoming a three-time All-American player.

While playing for his university, Koepka qualified for the 2012 U.S. Open but missed the final cut by six strokes.

Despite not making the cut initially, Koepka kept playing and, in the summer of 2012, played at the Challenge Tour in Europe, where he won his first title at the Challenge de Catalunya.

In 2013, Koepka qualified for the Open Championship and made his debut as a member of the European Tour, which opened the door to his full-time professional golf career.

In 2015, Koepka won his first PGA Tour event and moved to 19th place in the Official World Golf Ranking, and while he didn’t win the championship that year, he was consistently improving with every game he played.

Koepka won his first major Championship in 2017 when he claimed the U.S. Open title in Wisconsin, tying the record for the lowest U.S. Open score, under 16.

Despite undergoing wrist surgery after the 2017 season, Koepka won the U.S. Open again in 2018, as well as the PGA Championship, becoming the first player to win both in the same year since Tiger Woods in 2000.

The same year, Koepka won the CJ Cup and moved into first place in the Official World Golf Ranking.
