Victoria Fyodarauna Azarenka was born July 31, 1989, in Minsk, Byelorussian SSP, Soviet Union.
Azarenka relocated permanently from Minsk, Belarus, to Scottsdale, Arizona, in the United States at the age of 15.
Goalie Nikolai Khabibulin of the National Hockey League and his wife, a close friend of Azarenka’s mother, assisted her in this.
