Kobe Bryant played for the Los Angeles Lakers for the entirety of his 20-year NBA career. The Charlotte Hornets selected Bryant as the 13th overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft, and immediately traded him to the Lakers, where he signed a three-year, $3.5 million rookie contract. Under the deal, Kobe earned a little more than $1 million in his first official NBA season. For the second and third year of his rookie contract, Kobe’s salary increased slightly, to $1.17 million and $1.32 million, respectively.

Rookie Extension

In 1999, Bryant signed a 6-year rookie extension with the Lakers, initially worth $70.9 million. This contract didn’t include a signing bonus, but it increased his average annual salary by almost 1000%. He earned $9 million during the 1999 season. An early termination option was later exercised for the final year of the contract, effectively reducing the deal to a 5-year contract worth $56.2 million. His annual salary increased by roughly $1 million each year under the contract, peaking at $13.5 million for the fifth and final year.

Veteran Extensions

In 2004, Kobe signed the most valuable contract of his career, a seven-year,  new deal worth an eye-watering $136.4 million. The contract lasted from his 26th birthday until his 32nd, earning him an average annual salary of $19.5 million.

Bryant signed two more contracts during his career, including:

  • 3-year veteran extension worth $83.5 million (2011-2013)
  • 2-year veteran extension worth $48.5 million (2014-2015)

Kobe officially announced his retirement in November 2015 at the age of 37, at which point his career earnings totaled $323.3 million.

Adidas Endorsement Deal

Since Kobe Bryant earned such a substantial sum of money off the court, we’ve separated out some of his most notable brand endorsements from the rest. Before he became one of Nike’s star athletes in the mid-2000s, Kobe initially signed with Adidas. He signed the six-year, $48 million contract in May 1996, just before the NBA draft, while still only 17 years old. Under the deal, Kobe released five signature shoes, including three versions of the KB8 and two versions of The Kobe.

Nike Endorsement Deal

In 2003, Kobe departed Adidas and signed a new deal with Nike, which would become one of the most significant endorsement deals in sports history. His initial contract with Nike reportedly paid him $8 million per year, thanks to a long list of signature shoe releases. His first signature shoe with the brand, named the Zoom Kobe I, was released in 2005. Over the next decade or so, nine versions of the Zoom Kobe were released, followed by his next shoe, simply called the Kobe X.

By this point, industry experts estimated that Bryant was earning at least $10 million per year with Nike. In total, he released sixteen signature shoes with the company. It was also reported in 2022 that Nike renewed its partnership with the Bryan Estate, and thus, his estate will continue to earn money from Nike for the foreseeable future.

All I care about is his soul. Rest in Peace Kobe Bryant and all the other 8 people who lost their lives on that helicopter flight, including your daughter, Gianna.
May God eternally keep you all.

I am glad Kobe Bryant has the financial smarts to not blow all his money. He was smart, charming and seemed to be a great husband and father.
He left us all heartbroken with his daughter Gigi and the other 7 people on that helicopter that day. I only wish the pilot said there is way to much fog, I am not going to risk this flight. I mean airplanes were grounded at LAX.
I hope in time his wife can heal somewhat. She did not loose just a husband but her beautiful daughter Gigi. That has to the most painful for her.
At least koby’s wife and remaining kids are taken care of for life financially. But money cannot bring the 2 of them back. Rest In Peace and God watch over his family.

Introduction

Cam Reddish is an American professional basketball player with an estimated net worth of $8 Million.

While he hasn’t played in the NBA for long, he has already started making a name for himself as a solid scorer and fan favorite. Although he’s not currently the most well-known player on the court, his skills will make him even more popular as his career continues.

This profile outlines all our research on Cam Reddish’s net worth, NBA contract, salary, brand endorsements, and anything else that may have affected his finances.

Quick Facts

  • Earned a total of $24.5 million in the NBA
  • Peak annual income of $5.95 million in the 2022/23 season
  • Signed a 2-year, $4.6 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023
  • Signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Nike

NBA Salary

YearTeamSalary
2019/20Atlanta Hawks$4,245,720
2020/21Atlanta Hawks$4,458,000
2021/22New York Knicks$4,670,160
2022/23Portland Trail Blazers$5,954,454
2023/24Los Angeles Lakers$2,165,000
Total Career Earnings:$21,493,334

In 2019, Cam Reddish signed a four-year rookie contract worth $19.3 million with the Atlanta Hawks. Reddish earned $4.2 million in his first NBA season and $4.5 million in his second season with the Hawks. He played for the New York Knicks in 2021, earning $2.3 million.

In 2022, he played one year for the Portland Trail Blazers, earning $2 million.

In 2023, Reddish signed a two-year contract for $4.6 million with the Los Angeles Lakers. The deal was fully guaranteed, earning Cam $2.2 million for the 23/24 season. Although the Lakers waived Reddish in March 2025, he retained the remainder of his contract value, receiving $2.5 million that season.

Unfortunately, this was the end of the line for Reddish’s NBA career, at least for now. During his time in the league, Cam Reddish earned $24.5 million in salary. Now playing overseas, he’s still earning a decent income, but likely not at the same level as he was in the NBA.

NBA G League Salary

Reddish briefly played overseas for the Lithuanian team BC Šiauliai, but currently plays for the San Diego Clippers of the NBA G League. The base salary for G League players is just $40,500 per season, a dramatic decline from the multimillion-dollar paychecks Cam used to earn.

Endorsements

Given that Cam Reddish is still relatively new to the NBA, there is not much information on his endorsements. In 2017, Nick DePaul reported that Reddish had signed a multi-year shoe deal with Nike, but the specifics of the agreement were never publicly disclosed. We’re closely monitoring the situation as Reddish’s contract with the Lakers expires next year.

Philanthropy

In 2021, the Reddish Family Foundation hosted a food drive in his hometown of Norristown, Pennsylvania, and he donated 100 turkey dinners to community members in need. Cam also made a $10,000 contribution to the municipality to help create a safe place for community members to play games and socialize.
