Introduction
Ali Wong is an American professional actress, stand-up comedian, and writer with an estimated net worth of $4 Million.
Comedy Career
After graduating from college, Ali Wong tried her hand at stand-up comedy and proved quite good at it. She then moved to New York City, where she began performing up to nine times a night at venues throughout the city.
In 2011, Variety named her one of the “10 Comics to Watch” and she began appearing on late-night TV shows and comedy series, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Underground Comedy Show, and John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show.
Acting Career
In 2012, Ali Wong was cast in Are You There, Chelsea and appeared on Chelsea Lately before starring in VH1’s Best Week Ever. The following year, she appeared in MTV’s Hey Girl and Oliver Stone’s film Savages, along with the comedy Dealin’ with Idiots.
Wong was cast in the ABC medical drama Black Box in 2014 and appeared in three episodes of Inside Amy Schumer on Comedy Central. At the same time, Wong worked as a writer on the sitcom Fresh Off the Boat, after being suggested by cast member Randall Park.
In 2016, Netflix released her stand-up special Baby Cobra, filmed at the Neptune Theater in Seattle when Wong was 7 months pregnant. This special was well-received by critics, and New York Magazine praised her sense of humor as “uniting the tastes of the unlikeliest fans.” The same year, Wong spoke at and walked in New York Fashion Week for the Opening Ceremony before being cast in the sitcom American Housewife.
Multiple Talents
Ali Wong’s second Netflix special, Hard Knock Wife, was released in May 2018 and filmed in Toronto while she was pregnant with her second child. She then voiced the character Citrus Twisty in an episode of the animated series OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes on Cartoon Network.
In 2019, she appeared in the Netflix film Always Be My Maybe with Keanu Reeves, a film she also helped write. That year, she also began voicing Bertie on the Netflix animated sitcom Tuca & Bertie, and she remained in the role until 2022.
Wong published her first book, Dear Girls: Intimate Tales, Untold Secrets, and Advice for Living Your Best Life, in 2019. She described the book as being a guide for her young daughters to read when they grow up, and it won the Goodreads Choice Award for Humor.
Recent Work
In 2023, she co-starred with Steven Yeun in the Netflix drama-comedy Beef and is credited alongside Yeun as an executive producer. For her performance, she received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress—Miniseries or Film, the first actress of Asian descent to win that category. She also received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series, the first of Asian descent to do so.
Netflix Special Deal
Wong’s Netflix specials have played a big part in her financial success. In 2016, Netflix released Baby Cobra, Wong’s first special on the platform. It was an instant success and helped elevate Wong’s career. Next, in 2018, Netflix released Wong’s second special, Hard Knock Wife, which was an even more considerable success than the last. This special cemented her status as a top-tier comedian and showed the world her true comedic style. Although it’s unclear how much she made from each special, she likely earned a lot more after the second was released.
In 2018, it was speculated that HBO and Netflix got involved in a bidding war for Wong’s following two specials. According to sources, WarnerMedia, who owned HBO then, reportedly offered more than $10 million to secure the rights to the specials. However, Wong remained loyal to Netflix in a deal reportedly worth more than eight figures. Incidentally, Wong’s third special, Don Wong, was released in 2022, and her fourth special, Single Lady, was released in 2024. Both specials were featured in Netflix’s Top 10 global chart and received widespread critical acclaim.
Although Wong is not yet one of the highest-paid comedians on Netflix like Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock, who earned between $40 million and $60 million for their specials, she is well on her way.
Justin Hakuta Divorce
In April 2022, after 8 years of marriage, Wong announced her separation from Justin Hakuta. She then filed for divorce in December 2023, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple married in 2014, both signing a prenuptial agreement. This was because Hakuta came from wealth, and Wong was starting her career. The couple officially divorced on May 21st, 2024, approximately two years after they announced their separation.
According to reports, the split was amicable, with both parties sharing joint physical and legal custody and co-parenting their two daughters. However, the financial settlement terms, including any spousal support from Wong, remain undisclosed.

Introduction
Seth Meyers is an American professional comedian, writer, and actor with an estimated net worth of $26 Million.
Late Night Contract Renewal
In 2024, shortly after Meyers celebrated 10 years of hosting Late Night with Seth Meyers, NBCUniversal announced that his contract had been renewed until 2028. The agreement also included a deal between Meyers’ own production company, Sethmaker Shoemeyers, and Universal Studio Group for him to develop other projects for NBCUniversal.
Meyers’ contract for hosting the show pays him around $5 million per year. However, this amount is significantly lower than that of other late-night TV hosts, such as Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel, who both earn $15 million per year.
Despite the renewal, the show’s house band, the 8G Band, was let go by the show in August 2024 to cut costs. However, they still provided pre-recorded music, rather than playing live in the studio. Since Meyers took over the slot from Jimmy Fallon in 2014, the show has received 11 Emmy nominations, seven Writers Guild of America Award nominations, and won two Critics’ Choice Awards.
Real Estate
Meyers and his wife purchased an apartment in the West Village neighborhood of New York in December 2013 for $3.5 million. Subsequently, they renovated the property before listing it for sale in 2017 for $4.5 million. The two-bedroom apartment, which featured a sunken living room with a fireplace, a modernized kitchen, and a spa bathroom, was sold in early 2018 for the full asking price.
Before the sale of the apartment was completed, the couple purchased a 5-bedroom duplex in Greenwich Village in 2016 for $7.5 million, as they needed more space following the birth of their first child. The 3,200-square-foot residence features two wood-burning fireplaces, a chef’s kitchen, a spacious living/dining room, four and a half bathrooms, and wooden beamed ceilings. The duplex occupies two floors of a 15-story building, which has only two apartments per floor, providing complete privacy for Meyers and his wife in a prime location in the city.
Philanthropy
Meyers has supported various charitable organizations, including Amnesty International, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Cycle for Survival, Forgotten Harvest, Memorial Sloan-Kettering, Mia Hamm Foundation, Motion Picture and Television Fund Foundation, Natural Resources Defense Council, and Somaly Mam Foundation.

Introduction
Jordan Peele is an American professional actor, comedian, and filmmaker with an estimated net worth of $50 Million.
Before Wealth & Fame
Growing up in New York City, Jordan Peele was raised by his single mother in Manhattan’s Upper West Side. He attended The Calhoun School, a prestigious private school in the city, and was passionate about sketch comedy and horror movies from a young age. Peel later stated that some of his early influences included Eddie Murphy, Tim Burton, and Monty Python.
Although Jordan briefly attended Sarah Lawrence College, where he majored in puppetry and film, he dropped out after just two years to join Amsterdam’s Boom Chicago improv group. He lived there for roughly two years while performing with the group, and after this, he met Keegan-Michael Key while the pair worked together on MADtv in 2004. The duo would form a great friendship and, later, an iconic working relationship.
Key & Peele
Having already established a solid friendship, Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key co-developed and hosted the Comedy Central sketch-comedy show Key & Peele. The show featured numerous comical characters created by the duo, including DeVon, a paranoid landlord; Mr. Garvey, a substitute teacher; and Luther, an anger translator for Barack Obama.
From 2012 to 2015, the show aired on Comedy Central for five seasons and 54 episodes. Although it wasn’t the first project of Key and Peele’s career, it cemented their position in the comedic industry.
TV Career
Before, during, and after Key & Peele, Jordan landed various roles in popular television shows. Many of these roles were single-episode appearances in series such as Reno 911!, The Mindy Project, Workaholics, and Modern Family.
Peele is also well-known for his voiceover work in adult animated television shows, including Bob’s Burgers, American Dad!, Robot Chicken, Rick & Morty, and Big Mouth. In fact, in recent years, Netflix’s Big Mouth has been Peele’s most significant series, playing multiple characters throughout the show’s eight seasons.
Monkeypaw Productions
In 2012, Jordan Peele launched Monkeypaw Productions, his film production company. While the company was founded at the same time as Key & Peele aired, it would later serve as the production company for all of Peele’s horror films.
In 2017, desperate to revisit his childhood passion for horror movies, Peele produced his first horror flick, Get Out, through Monkeypaw Productions on a $4.5 million budget. The film featured a never-before-seen plotline and was a massive success in the genre, grossing over $255 million globally.
This led to Monkeypaw Productions inking a five-year exclusive deal with Universal Pictures, resulting in a string of unique horror films produced in the late 2010s and early 2020s. These films, including Us (2019), BlacKkKlansman (2018), Candyman (2021), and Nope (2022), have featured stars such as Daniel Kaluuya, Bradley Whitford, Keke Palmer, and Winston Duke. While the company is best known for its films Get Out, Us, and Nope, it has also produced several hit TV shows, including Lorena, Weird City, The Twilight Zone, and The Last O.G.
Highest-Grossing Films
The films produced by Jordan Peele through Monkeypaw Productions have performed well at the box office, grossing over $800 million. Get Out and Us produced the highest returns on investment, with budgets of $5 million and $4.5 million, respectively. Nope had the highest production budget of any film the company has produced, costing a total of $68 million. However, it struggled to reach the heights of the earlier films, grossing just $172 million.
Here’s a list of the highest-grossing films that Moneypaw Productions has produced:
- Us – $256 million
- Get Out – $255 million
- Nope – $171 million
- BlackKkKlansman – $93.4 million
- Candyman – $77.4 million
- Monkey Man – $35.3 million
- Keanu – $20.7 million

Jim Carrey requires little introduction to anyone with even a passing interest in movies, having collaborated with some of the world’s most renowned directors during his career. Before becoming a household name, Carrey began his career in Canada, where he honed his skills in the local stand-up scene. Here, he developed his unique talent for imitating famous people in Yuk Yuk’s comedy club while dressed in a comical leisure suit.
Before Jim Carrey rose through the ranks of the richest comedians in the world, he took on a string of more minor roles in various Hollywood movies. Thanks to his regular slots in the Comedy Store in LA, Carrey picked up a small role in the Clint Eastwood film The Dead Pool in 1988. In the same year, he also made minor appearances in Copper Mountain and Peggy Sue Got Married, which co-starred Nicolas Cage and Kathleen Turner.
He continued to play parts in Hollywood comedies throughout the late 1980s, with Earth Girls Are Easy and Pink Cadillac as two notable examples. His exposure to the Hollywood scene allowed Carrey to refine his many impressions by incorporating Jack Nicholson and Eastwood into his routines.
Mainstream Fame
Jim Carrey’s major Hollywood breakthrough came in 1991 with one of the biggest comedy hits of the decade, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Co-starring another up-and-coming comedy performer, Courteney Cox, the film launched Carrey into the spotlight and made him a major star. A starring role in the effects spectacle The Mask, which co-starred Cameron Diaz, soon followed, paving the way for a long run of successful comedies.

The first notable example was the biopic The Man In The Moon, which co-starred Danny DeVito and featured Carrey playing the iconic actor Andy Kaufman. The performance led to many acting award nominations and wowed audiences who, until that point, had only seen Carrey as a wacky comic actor.
His 2004 movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, cast out any doubts that his performance as Kaufman had been a fluke. Performing alongside Kate Winslet, Carrey again received impressive notices from critics and many award nominations for his work on the film. Carrey was inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame the following year for his contributions to the arts and comedy world.
