Introduction

Amanda Laura Bynes is an American professional actress with an estimated net worth of $6 million.

Bynes started her career as a child actress on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy All That, which led to her own show, The Amanda Show, in 1999. Although she saw a lot of success during the late 90s and early 2000s, her highly publicized life led to a struggle with substance abuse that forced her to go on hiatus in 2010.

While she stated an interest in returning to television in 2018, no information has been released on upcoming projects.

Quick Facts

  • Amanda Bynes launched her own fashion line, “Dear by Amanda Bynes,” in 2007, in collaboration with Steve and Barry’s clothing stores.
  • On Twitter, she announced her retirement from acting in 2010 and has yet to make a comeback.
  • Bynes was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2014 after being hospitalized under a 72-hour mental-health evaluation the year prior.
  • She received her associate’s of art degree in 2018 and the following year graduated from the bachelor’s degree program at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
  • Bynes announced that she wanted to return to acting in 2018 but has been silent on the topic since.

Early Life

Amanda Laura Bynes was born April 3, 1986, in Thousand Oaks, California, to Lynn and Rick Bynes.

Her father, a dentist, and her mother, a dental assistant, supported her when she began acting at the age of seven, first appearing in a TV advertisement for Buncha Candies.

As a child actress, she also appeared on stage in productions of Annie, The Secret Garden, The Music Man, and The Sound of Music.

However, her big break came when she attended a comedy camp at the Los Angeles Laugh Factory, where she was noticed by a producer for Nickelodeon.

Career

Amanda was cast by the network and began appearing on All That from 1996 to 2000. In 1999, she was given her own spin-off, The Amanda Show, which ran from 1999 to 2002.

During her time on these shows, she won numerous accolades, including four Kids’ Choice Awards and two Young Artist Award nominations.

Her film debut came in 2002 when she appeared in Big Fat Liar, and while it was met with mixed critical reviews, it was an overall commercial success.

She also branched off into voice acting roles, voicing Nellie in Charlotte’s Web 2 and Piper Pinwheeler in Robots.

From 2006 to 2010, she continued to experience a lot of success and was named one of Teen People‘s 25 Hottest Stars Under 25.

In 2007, she was cast as Penny Pingleton in the musical comedy Hairspray, where she starred alongside big names like John Travolta, Queen Latifah, Zac Efron, and Christopher Walken.

Bynes started alongside Emma Stone in the comedy Easy A in 2010, and the same year started filming Hall Pass but ended up dropping out.

Ultimately, she announced that she was going on an indefinite hiatus from acting in July of 2010 and hasn’t performed again since.

Career Earnings

Amanda Bynes’ career earnings are a complicated subject, and like Mike Tyson, she has lost a lot of what she earned as a young actor.

At the peak of her career, she was earning roughly $2-3 million every year, but when her parents applied for conservatorship in 2013, they claimed she’d spent $1.2 million of her savings in less than a year.

Her parents also claimed that Amanda was homeless at that point and, without a consistent source of income, was drawing huge amounts of cash from her bank account.

When her conservatorship was granted to her parents, it was estimated that she had $5.7 million in assets, $2.8 million of which was in real estate.

While her conservatorship ended in early 2022, there is no current information about what she is currently earning, though it is estimated that her net worth has remained at $6 million.

Personal Life

Amanda Bynes briefly dated Seth MacFarlane in 2008 after meeting him while voicing a character on his show, Family Guy.

In 2012, she was charged with a DUI in West Hollywood, and the following year was charged with reckless endangerment and marijuana possession after smoking in the lobby o her Manhattan apartment complex.

She was detained in 2013 after allegedly starting a fire in a driveway and was placed under a 72-hour mental health evaluation hold in a hospital.

Following this incident, her mother was granted a temporary conservatorship over her, which ended up lasting until 2022.

Bynes was then diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2014, and since 2018 has been sober for four years after having struggled with substance abuse since at least 2013.

Her conservatorship ended in early 2022, and she has since moved in with her fiance, Paul Michael.

While she does have an official Instagram account and an official Twitter account, she hasn’t posted much in recent years, instead having been focused on her recovery.

Awards & Achievements

Here are some of Amanda Bynes’ most important awards and accomplishments:

  • In 2000, Amanda Bynes was named Favorite Television Actress at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for All That and The Amanda Show.
  • The following year, she won Favorite Television Actress again at the Kids’ Choice Awards.

  • In 2007, at the Hollywood Film Festival, Bynes won Ensemble of the Year for her role in Hairspray.
  • At the Critics’ Choice Awards in 2008, she won Best Acting Ensemble for Hairspray.

How Does Amanda Bynes Spend Her Money?

Amanda Bynes bought a four bedroom, 4,600 sqft mansion in Calabasas, California, for $1.8 million in 2011.

Estimated to be worth roughly $4 million today, Bynes has been renting out this property for over a decade, first listing it for $9,300 per month in 2012.

In 2022, it was reported that Amanda moved into a modern rental home herself, along with her fiance, Paul Michael.

Her new home is in a very private community, and not much is known about how much it cost or what luxuries it includes.

However, before moving into her new home, she was staying at a sober living home for women to help her overcome her substance abuse issues.

While we don’t expect to see her splurging on any of the most expensive yachts in the world anytime soon, we are happy to see her take a big step in her recovery process.

Summary

Amanda Bynes made a huge name for herself in the late 90s and early 2000s but has since struggled due to the overwhelming attention.

While she does plan on returning to television in the future, so far, she has not been cast in any upcoming projects and appears to still be working on bettering herself personally.

Make sure to check back often so that you won’t miss any updates on Bynes’ career and fortune when she returns to the entertainment industry.

Introduction

Jack Nicholson is an American former professional actor and filmmaker with an estimated net worth of $400 Million.

Acting Career

Jack Nicholson started his career as an office worker for animators William Hanna and Joseph Barbera at the MGM cartoon studio. While he had the opportunity to become an animator, Nicholson turned down the offer to pursue a career in acting instead.

His first time in front of the camera was in a small role on NBC Matinee Theater in 1956, followed by a role in the 1958 film The Cry Baby Killer.

Nicholson continued to build his career throughout the 1960s and, in 1967, wrote the screenplay for The Trip, starring Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper. He landed his first major acting break in 1969, starring in the film Easy Rider, which earned him an Academy Award nomination.

A Prominent Hollywood Actor

Jack Nicholson rose to superstar prominence in the film Five Easy Pieces, which became his persona-defining role, earning him another Academy Award nomination. With the film becoming a blockbuster, Nicholson was hailed as another James Dean or Marlon Brando.

In 1970, he appeared in the film One Clear Day You Can See Forever, and his role in Carnal Knowledge in 1971 earned him a Golden Globe nomination. He then starred in Roman Polanski’s Chinatown, three years before Polanski was arrested for the sexual assault of 13-year-old Samantha Geimer.

Another success of Nicholson’s came in 1975 when he was cast alongside Danny DeVito as Randle McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

A Hollywood Legend

Jack Nicholson took on the role of the Joker in the 1989 movie Batman, which immediately became an international hit. He then starred in A Few Good Men in 1992 and received another Academy Award nomination for his role.

In 1996, he teamed up with Batman director Tim Burton once again, this time on the film Mars Attacks! The following year, he won an Academy Award for his role in the romantic comedy As Good as It Gets.

Entering the new millennium, Nicholson appeared alongside Diane Keaton in Something’s Gotta Give in 2003.

In 2007, he joined Morgan Freeman in The Bucket List and teamed up with Paul Rudd in How Do You Know. This was his final film before unofficially retiring from acting to enjoy a quiet life behind the scenes, following decades in the limelight. While How Do You Know was his final film, bringing his total number of appearances throughout his career to 80, Nicholson still appeared occasionally.

In 2013, he co-presented the Academy Award for Best Picture with Michelle Obama, and in 2015, he made a special appearance on Saturday Night Live. Most recently, Nicholson appeared alongside Lou Adler on an episode of the podcast TF with Marc Maron. Nicholson reiterated that he wants to enjoy life and has no plans to return to acting.

Total Calculated Earnings:$126,187,500

While researching Jack Nicholson’s income during his time as a professional actor, we found figures relating to twenty of his film appearances, totaling $126.2 million. However, two essential things to consider are the fact that this number doesn’t take inflation into account, nor does it include his additional income from backend profits. In most cases, the figures strictly highlight his upfront salary.

Early Film Salaries

The earliest known paycheck of Jack Nicholson’s career was just $12,500 for starring in the 1970 film, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. Adjusted for inflation, this equates to roughly $104,000 in today’s currency. Throughout the decade, he gradually began commanding more per film, earning $500,000 from Chinatown (1974) and $75,000 from Tommy (1975).

Towards the latter half of the 1970s, Nicholson not only began receiving seven-figures per film, but also often secured a percentage of the film’s gross revenues. This began with One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest in 1975, earning $1 million upfront and receiving 15% of the gross revenues. As a result, he earned closer to $15 million when all was said and done.

A similar scenario occurred the following year when Nicholson starred in The Missouri Breaks. However, this time, the film performed poorly at the box office, which left him with just his upfront salary of $1.3 million. Surprisingly, one of the most iconic films of Nicholson’s career, The Shining, didn’t earn him anything on the backend. He also took home $1.3 million. Finally, the last paycheck in what would be considered the earlier stage of his career was $1 million for Terms of Endearment. He also secured a percentage of the film’s profits, bringing the total to roughly $9 million.

Peak Film Earnings

By the late 1980s, Jack Nicholson had begun taking home several million dollars per role. Some of his most notable paychecks during this time were $4 million for Heartburn, $6 million for The Witches of Eastwick, and $5 million for Ironweed

We’ll discuss his earnings from playing the Joker in Batman shortly. However, before we do that, let’s run through some of the most significant salaries Nicholson secured during his final years of acting.

During the ’90s, he received upfront salaries of $10 million from Hoffa, $13 million from Wolf, and $15 million from As Good as It Gets. He also earned $10 million apiece in the 2000s from The Pledge and About SchmidtIn 2003, Nicholson joined the $20+ million club (at least in terms of base salary) when he starred alongside Adam Sandler in Anger Management. For his final film, How Do You Know, he earned $12 million, capping off his career.

Batman Earnings

The reason we held off on discussing Jack Nicholson’s Batman payday was that it was the most lucrative role of his career. To play the Joker in the 1989 film, he was initially offered an upfront salary of $10 million. However, Jack negotiated an agreement to take a lower salary ($6 million), plus a percentage of the film’s profits and revenues from Joker merchandising.

Batman became the highest-grossing film of Nicholson’s career, raking in $412 million at the box office. Merchandise for the franchise was already popular, but until the 1989 film was released, Joker products hadn’t been as popular. Nicholson’s presence in the film elevated the character’s popularity and helped drive a rapid increase in merchandise revenues. Thus, reports suggest that he earned a combined $60 million from the film.

Highest-Grossing Movies

Nicholson’s highest-grossing film of his career is also just one of five movies from the 1980s that grossed over $400 million worldwide. 1989’s Batman grossed $412 million at the global box office against a budget of $35 million. It was the highest-grossing movie of the year by a difference of more than $200 million. Nicholson’s earliest film to make the list was 1975’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, which grossed $109 million.

Some notable mentions that didn’t make his top ten include About Schmidt ($106 million), Mars Attacks! ($101 million), and The Shining ($48 million).

Here’s a complete list of Jack Nicholson’s ten highest-grossing movies:

  1. Batman – $412 Million (1989)
  2. As Good as It Gets – $314 Million (1997)
  3. The Departed – $291 Million (2006)
  4. Something’s Gotta Give – $265 Million (2003)
  5. A Few Good Men – $243 Million (1992)
  6. Anger Management – $196 Million (2003)
  7. The Bucket List – $175 Million (2007)
  8. Wolf – $131 Million (1994)
  9. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest – $109 Million (1975)

Television Career

Jennifer Aniston began her acting career by working in Off-Broadway shows like For Dear Life and Dancing on Checker’s Grave. However, she could not earn enough money from her acting career, so to support herself, she took on various part-time jobs, such as waitressing. Before landing her breakthrough role on Friends, Aniston starred in various TV shows in the early 1990s, including 13 episodes of Ferris Bueller, in which she played Jeannie Bueller. She also appeared in 7 episodes of Molloy, 20 episodes of The Edge, and 10 episodes of Muddling Through.

In 1994, Jennifer began portraying Rachel Green in the sitcom Friends, working alongside fellow actors Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow. The show became an instant success, and before long, the aforementioned cast members were some of the highest-paid actors on television. The show aired for ten seasons and 235 episodes from 1994 to 2004. It’s still being watched and discovered on streaming platforms by people who weren’t even born when it initially aired.

Film Career

The transition from television to film was much more complicated at the time. Aniston later became known as one of the most successful actresses who made that transition. Some of her initial high-profile film roles included working with actors Jim Carrey and Ben Stiller on Bruce Almighty (2003) and Along Came Polly (2004).

Throughout the late 2000s, Aniston collaborated with numerous well-known actors in films such as The Break-Up (2006), Marley & Me (2008), The Bounty Hunter (2010), Just Go with It (2011), and Horrible Bosses (2011). The roles solidified her transition into the Hollywood film industry, allowing her to work with actors such as Adam Sandler, Jason Bateman, Gerard Butler, Vince Vaughn, and Owen Wilson.

Besides acting in films, Aniston has produced multiple commercials and become a brand ambassador for many well-known companies. Aniston also founded a film production company named Plan B Entertainment.

Friends Salary

For the first season of Friends, the six lead actors each received $22,500 per episode, which is roughly $47,700 today if adjusted for inflation. Aniston earned $540,000 for season one and then received an increase to $40,000 per episode, earning her $960,000 for season two.

The actors banded together throughout the show’s filming, ensuring they received equal pay. Their salary increased to $75,000 per episode for Season Three, $85,000 for Season Four, $100,000 for Season Five, and $125,000 for Season Six. During that time, Aniston earned $9.5 million.

Ahead of season seven, the cast members negotiated an enormous pay bump to $750,000 per episode, plus syndication royalties. Aniston earned $18 million apiece from seasons seven and eight before receiving another bump to $1 million per episode for seasons nine and ten. She earned $24 million for season nine and $18 million for season ten, which pushed Aniston’s total salary from Friends up to $89 million.

Syndication Royalties

When Friends officially ended, the actors negotiated a contract that granted them 2% of the profits from syndication and future reruns. In 2015, USA Today published an article stating that Warner Bros. was earning $1 billion annually from syndication revenue. If true, Aniston would have been earning $20 million yearly from royalties.

However, in 2021, Forbes released different estimates, suggesting that Friends had generated an estimated $1.4 billion in revenue since its debut in 1994. This calculation would have resulted in Aniston’s lifetime royalty income being around $47 million.

After gaining notoriety from Friends in the 1990s, Jennifer Aniston began appearing in films more frequently. Having already earned a reputation in Hollywood, her upfront salary for early film projects was already in the millions. Some of Aniston’s earlier paychecks include $2 million for Picture Perfect, $6.5 million for The Object of My Affection, and $3 million for Rock Star

The movie that jump-started the TV star’s transition was Bruce Almighty (2003), where she starred alongside Jim Carrey. Aniston earned an upfront salary of $9 million from the film, as well as a percentage of the backend, which increased her total earnings to $20 million. This would become a common pay structure for her as her film career progressed. In fact, backend deals account for at least $111 million of Aniston’s total film earnings.

Aniston’s 2004 role in Along Came Polly followed a similar suit, earning her $9 million upfront and an additional $10 million in backend compensation. For the majority of the 2000s and early 2010s, Jennifer’s base salary consistently ranged between $8 million and $9 million per film. This includes films such as Derailed, Rumor Has It…, Marley & Me, Love Happens, The Bounty Hunter, and The Switch.

Peak Film Earnings

While Bruce Almighty and Along Came Polly both earned Aniston in the ballpark of $20 million, they are far from her highest-film paydays. She also earned $9 million upfront for the iconic 2006 film, The Break-Up, starring alongside Vince Vaughn. However, after securing an additional $19 million on the back end, her total earnings amounted to $28 million.

In 2011, Aniston earned a combined $41 million from two films: Just Go with It and Horrible Bosses, of which $20 million was thanks to backend points. Two years later, she earned an impressive $26 million from We’re the Millers, despite accepting just $5 million upfront.

Undoubtedly, Aniston’s most lucrative paydays were generated from the Murder Mystery franchise. The first instalment in 2019 earned her an estimated $45 million, including upfront salary and backend earnings. Its sequel, released in 2023, reportedly secured her a $25 million base paycheck, but she also earned additional money from her producer fee and backend points. It’s unclear exactly how much she banked in total, but the franchise accounts for at least $70 million of her earnings.

Highest-Grossing Movies

While Friends undoubtedly accounts for a large chunk of Aniston’s career earnings, she’s also starred in many box-office hits. She is perhaps one of the most accomplished actors transitioning from television to the film industry. Aniston’s highest-grossing film was 2003’s Bruce Almighty, which grossed $485 million globally against a budget of $81 million. It’s also the oldest movie within her top ten.

Aniston’s other notable box office successes include We’re the Millers, which grossed $270 million on a $37 million budget, and Marley & Me, which earned $256 million. Here’s a complete list of Jennifer Aniston’s ten highest-grossing movies:

  1. Bruce Almighty – $485 Million (2003)
  2. We’re the Millers – $270 Million (2013)
  3. Marley & Me – $256 Million (2008)
  4. Just Go with It – $215 Million (2011)

Vin Diesel is an American professional actor, producer, director, and screenwriter with an estimated net worth of $225 Million.

This profile discusses our research into Vin Diesel’s income, net worth, assets, and highest-grossing films. The most notable of these is, of course, his earnings from the Fast & Furious franchise, often earning between $15 million and $20 million per film.

Fast & Furious Salary

Diesel’s salary history regarding Fast & Furious has a few holes; his earnings from the fourth and sixth films are unknown. However, let’s discuss how much he earned from the other six he starred in, which had the most significant impact on his wealth.

Vin earned $2 million to star in the original 2001 film, The Fast and the Furious. Although he was reportedly offered between $20 million and $25 million for the sequel, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Diesel turned it down. He stated that producing a sequel would compromise the film’s ability to become a classic.

Vin has also worked as a producer on all the Fast & Furious movies since the fourth installment, which has boosted his overall earnings from the franchise. In 2011, he earned $15 million from Fast Five, which includes his producer fee.

Many low-quality sources reported his earnings from Furious 7 as $47 million, which would be incorrect. They lifted this figure from Forbes’ 2015 list of highest-paid actors; however, this doesn’t just consider Furious 7 earnings. Diesel had also voiced Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy and starred in The Last Witch Hunter that year.

In 2017, upon the release of The Fate of the Furious, Forbes again listed him among the highest-paid actors, this time with earnings of $54.5 million. That particular year, he also starred in and produced xXx: Return of Sander Cage, contributing to his overall earnings. Diesel likely earned a minimum of $20 million per film for F9 and Fast X.

Other Notable Film Salaries

In the earlier years of his career, Diesel earned just $100,000 for acting in Saving Private Ryan. His first leading roles outside Fast & Furious began paying him multiple seven-figures, including $10 million for xXx, $2.5 million for A Man Apart, and $11.5 million for The Chronicles of Riddick.

Highest-Grossing Movies

Although he had only one line, spoken repeatedly in multiple languages, Diesel’s role as Groot still contributed significantly to the MCU’s box office gross of over $8 billion. Avengers: Endgame grossed $2.8 billion worldwide, becoming the second-highest-grossing film of all time, behind none other than Avatar.

The other franchise that helped Diesel become one of the highest-grossing actors is the Fast & Furious series. Furious 7 performed better than any other movie in the series, grossing $1.52 billion globally. The Fate of the Furious was the only other F&F movie to gross over $1 billion.

The Fast & Furious franchise has grossed over $6.5 billion, but the earlier movies don’t make it into Vin’s top ten. Fast & Furious 6 is the earliest movie to feature Diesel’s ten highest-grossing movies, reaching $789 million at the box office in 2013.

Here is a complete list of Vin Diesel’s ten highest-grossing films:

  1. Avengers: Endgame – $2.8 Billion (2019)
  2. Avengers: Infinity War – $2.05 Billion (2018)
  3. Furious 7 – $1.52 Billion (2015)
  4. The Fate of the Furious – $1.24 Billion (2017)
  5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – $864 Million (2017)
  6. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – $846 Million (2023)
  7. Fast & Furious 6 – $789 Million (2013)
  8. Guardians of the Galaxy – $773 Million (2014)
  9. Thor: Love and Thunder – $761 Million (2022)
  10. F9: The Fast Saga – $726 Million (2021)

Real Estate

In June 2000, Vin Diesel paid $810,000 for a 2,111-square-foot, three-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Los Angeles, California. There’s no record of a sale taking place since then, which likely means he still owns the property.

In October 2001, just after the release of Fast & Furious, Diesel reportedly paid $2.25 million for a 3,343-square-foot, four-bedroom home in Beverly Hills, California, situated on 2.14 acres of land. Not much else is known about the property, but according to sale records, he still owns the house, which now has an estimated value of $4.98 million.

At one point, Diesel was reportedly eying up an 11,000-square-foot, seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion in Sandy Springs, Georgia, for $3.3 million. The property features a 12-person dining room, a garage, a bar, an elevator, four patios, and a full gym. However, it was presumed to be a rental while filming The Fast and the Furious 7, and no confirmation was made.

Additional Expenditure

As you can probably anticipate, Vin Diesel has a fantastic car collection. For starters, he has a rare 1974 Plymouth Barracuda. He also owns a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, one of the most iconic cars in U.S. history. He paid $200.000 for this car. His most exotic and powerful car is the 2014 Lykan Hypersport, which costs $3.4 million.

Van Diesel owns a 1,100-square-foot trailer worth $1.1 million. The trailer features a high-tech media room, a kids’ playroom, two lounge areas, a kitchen, and bathrooms.
