Caroline Wozniacki was born July 11th, 1990, in Odense, Denmark.

Wozniacki is of Polish descent, and her mother, Anna, previously played on the Polish Women’s National Volleyball team, while her father, Piotr, played professional football.

Her parents moved to Denmark after her father was signed to the Danish football club, Boldklubben 1909, shortly after which she was born.

Caroline followed in her parent’s athletic footsteps, making her debut on the ITF Junior Circuit in 2003 when she was only 13.

After reaching the finals of two Grade 5 events in Denmark, Wozniacki was moved to the Grade 3 and 4 tournaments, where she won her first four singles in 2004.

Wozniacki went on to win several junior tournaments in 2005 and by 2007 was winning $75k in prize money from her victories at Ortisei and Las Vegas.
