Mansell enjoyed a successful CART career, receiving numerous awards, including a gold medal from the Royal Automobile Club.

While he briefly returned to Formula One in 1994 and 1995 for Williams and McLaren, respectively, he decided against a full comeback and instead took part in a brief British Touring Car career.

By 1965, his mother had remarried, and they had relocated to Indonesia for four years. In 1971, Obama returned to Honolulu to live with his maternal grandparents, where he attended and graduated from Punahou School in 1979.

Over the years, he has discussed at length and reflected on how he managed the social perceptions related to his multicultural heritage. His educational pursuits after high school involved some moving around. By 1981, he had completed his freshman and sophomore years at Occidental College in Los Angeles.

Then, he went to New York City for his junior and senior years at Columbia University, where he graduated in 1983. In 1988, Obama entered Harvard Law School, where he graduated in 1991.

Career

After completing university, Obama taught constitutional law for twelve years at the University of Chicago Law School. First as a lecturer from 1992-1996, then as a senior lecturer teaching constitutional law.

While working for the university, he joined Miner Barnhill and Galland, a large firm, where he specialized as a civil rights attorney in civil rights litigation, including economic development.

In 2005, Obama became the Illinois state senator, winning 70% of the vote in the 2004 general election. As a senator, he co-sponsored two initiatives, Secure America and the Orderly Immigration Act. By late 2006 – early 2007, he began stepping down to prepare for his presidential campaign.

Sources of Income

According to a recent Forbes article, the Obamas have a combined net worth of $135 million. The majority of their wealth comes from book deals and speaking engagements. The couple has earned millions of dollars in book deals and speaking fees since leaving the White House.

Barack Obama’s first book, Dreams from My Father, was published in 1995 and became a bestseller. He has since published two more books: The Audacity of Hope in 2006 and A Promised Land in 2020. According to Forbes, these three books alone have earned the Obamas $15 million.

In addition to their book earnings, the Obamas have made millions through speaking engagements. It is estimated that Barack Obama charges between $200,000 and $400,000 per speech, while Michelle Obama charges $100,000-$250,000 per speech. The Obamas gave a joint keynote address at the 2018 AIA Conference on Architecture in New York City, reportedly earning them $500,000.

They reportedly signed a joint book deal worth $65 million with Penguin Random House shortly after leaving office. In addition to being paid handsomely for speaking engagements all over the world, they’ve also signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to produce films and series for the streaming service. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it’s been estimated to be worth around $50 million.

So there you have it! The Obamas are certainly doing well for themselves post-White House. Their estimated net worth is now around $140 million, up significantly from when Barack first became President in 2009 (when it was just $1.3 million).

Donald Trump is an American politician, entrepreneur, and former president of the United States with an estimated net worth of $2 Billion.

After building a vast real estate empire, Trump transitioned into politics and, in 2016, became the 45th president of the United States. He served four years as president before losing to Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

In July 2024, during his 2024 re-election campaign, Trump attended a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where an assassination attempt was made on his life. Trump was shot in the ear, surrounded by Secret Service agents, and immediately escorted to a nearby hospital.

There have been just fourteen assassination attempts on U.S. presidents or former presidents in the last two hundred years. Only three of them have been shot and survived: Theodore Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump.

Early Life

Donald Trump was born on July 14th, 1946, in Queens, New York.

Trump had four siblings, more than most of us have, and he attended school with them in Forest Hills at the Kew-Forest school. The problem arose when he started having various difficulties at school…

His parents decided that it would be best to send him to the New York Military Academy at the age of 13; hopefully to straighten him out a little and help him direct his energy in more of a positive way. Trump was very much into sports, playing a mixture of football, soccer, and baseball.

He eventually graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 after previously being at Fordham University for two years.

Career

Donald Trump's Career

Donald Trump’s career began at his father’s company, Elizabeth Trump and Son, based in Brooklyn. The company focused on rental housing for the average Joe.

While in college, Trump undertook a project that involved refurbishing a property his dad had purchased. The property was an apartment complex in Cincinnati. After investing $500,000 in it, Trump was able to sell it for $6.75 million.

This was just over $1 million more than his dad had purchased it for back in 1962.

In 2016, Donald Trump transitioned from his normal real estate life to running for president of the United States of America against Hillary Clinton. Trump won the election in November 2016 and became the 45th president of the United States of America.

His presidential election left many people within the country divided. In 2020, he ran again for re-election for a second term but lost to Joe Biden. Biden served as the 46th president of the United States from 2020-2024, and despite initially running for re-election, he has since stepped out of the race.

Assassination Attempt

On July 13, 2024, Trump attended a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania as part of his re-election campaign. Just several minutes after stepping on the stage to speak, loud shots rang out as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire at the crowd from a nearby rooftop with an AR-15 rifle.

Trump was shot in the ear, one spectator was killed while shielding his family from the gunfire, and two further people were injured. Crooks was subsequently shot and killed by the Secret Service Counter Sniper team.

The Trump Organization

What was ‘Elizabeth Trump and Son’, Donald Trump’s father’s company, was renamed to The Trump Organization in 1971 by Trump when he was given control of the company. This was only three years after he joined full-time.

What started off as a company revolving around middle-class real estate has now turned into a huge conglomerate. It owns some of the best buildings in the world, including The Trump World Tower, and is raking in hundreds of millions of profit.

The Trump organization owns skyscrapers, hotels, golf courses, vineyards, and many other great real estate properties. It currently has 22,500 employees.

When Pitt began his professional career in the late 80’s, one of his earliest recorded salaries was just $12,000 for his role as Dwight in Cutting Class. He also earned only $6,000 for Thelma & Louise in 1991. While these roles didn’t pay much, they did help him gain attention, and he was eventually paid $500,000 for Kalifornia in 1993.

The mid-late 90s would be the highest-earning era of Brad Pitt’s acting career. His recorded 7-figure salary was in 1994 for the Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles, earning him $3 million. This would increase to $4 million for Se7en and then $10 million, his first 8-figure salary, for Sleepers.

At the end of the 1990s, Pitt began commanding $17.5 million per movie, including for his role as Tyler Durden in Fight Club alongside Edward Norton. His other $17.5 million paydays include Spy Game in 2001 and Troy in 2004.

Ocean’s Franchise

Perhaps one of Brad’s most significant paydays came in 2001 when he starred alongside Clooney, Roberts, and Damon in Ocean’s Eleven. Pitt reportedly lowered his salary to $10 million in exchange for backend points, which equated to an extra $20 million in compensation. How much he was paid for reappearing in the sequels was never publicly disclosed.

Recent Movie Salaries

Nowadays, Pitt focuses most on working as an executive producer; however, he has starred in several films over the last four years. He earned $10 million for his role alongside DiCaprio in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood and $20 million for starring in 2022’s Bullet Train. Since then, he’s continued earning at the box office, although more through his production work and less through acting. In 2024, Brad Pitt’s net worth is approximately $400 Million.

How Does Brad Pitt Spend His Money?

Pitt and his then-partner spent a jaw-dropping $322 million to buy a yacht. They kicked out an additional $200,000 to decorate the super-yacht.
