  • Stewart was also the driving force behind the Prelude to the Dream, a dirt track, late-model race run at Eldora Speedway, from 2005 through 2012.
  • He won the IRL IndyCar Series championship in 1997 and was later voted NASCAR’s rookie of the year.

Early Life

Anthony Wayne Stewart was born May 20, 1971, in Columbus, Indiana, United States.

He began competitive go-kart racing when he was eight years old and demonstrated his promise as a future racing champion in 1980 when he won his maiden title.

He achieved success in the 1987 World Karting Association championship and afterward began competing in the United Midget Racing Association races.

Tony moved up to the United States Auto Club series after competing in the UMRA and continued racing midgets there until 1988.

Stewart spent the majority of his rookie season dashing everyone’s expectations because his car frequently finished in the Top 5.

He set a series record for victories by a rookie with three at Richmond, Phoenix, and Homestead, breaking Davey Allison’s mark from 1987. He also won two pole positions at short tracks.

Stewart won a series-high six races in the 2000 NASCAR Winston Cup Series, with no symptoms of a sophomore slump (Martinsville, New Hampshire, Michigan, Homestead, and both Dover races).

However, a few DNFs and an increase in competitive drivers, including his teammate Labonte, who won the Cup championship, caused him to drop to sixth place in the standings.

Stewart’s performance in the Daytona 500 was cut short after just two laps due to a blown engine, making the start of the 2002 season even less promising than the previous one.

He later went on to win twice at the start of the season in Atlanta and Richmond, but by the halfway point of the season, he was only eighth in the points standings.

In a Boss Motorsports Chevrolet, Stewart, Andy Wallace, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished fourth in the 24 Hours of Daytona sports car endurance race in January 2004.

With his second Cup victory in 2005, Stewart had one of his best years in the Nextel Cup Series.

He won five races at Infineon, Daytona, New Hampshire, and Watkins Glen – giving him a sweep of the road course races for the year and a record three straight road course wins.

Tony joins Denny Hamlin, Rick Hendrick, Jeff Gordon, and Paul Menard as one of the most entertaining drivers in NASCAR.

Following the 2008 campaign, Gene Haas’s Haas CNC Racing, which drove Chevrolets, gave Stewart a 50% ownership stake.

Tony Stewart’s Career Earnings

He was also a member of the Joe Gibbs Racing squad from the late 1990s to the late 2000s.

Tony raced in the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for his own organization, Stewart-Haas Racing.

It is difficult to establish how much Tony Stewart earned each year as there are no official records of his earnings except for his race win.

However, he has won more than $130 million in racing prize money alone during the course of his racing career.

He won two Cup Series championships during this time and is the only driver to have triumphed in both the IndyCar and NASCAR championships.

In 2014, he won a second championship as the owner of a team, this time with Kevin Harvick at the wheel.

Tony Stewart’s Net Worth Annually

Tony won the USAC triple crown in 1995 and began competing in stock car races around this time.

He raced in the NASCAR Busch Series for the first time in 1996 for team owner Harry Rainer with his 16th-place performance, his best result in this time frame.

He competed in the Craftsman Truck Series as well, placing tenth, but sadly, Stewart frequently dropped out of races during his formative years.

This had an impact on his rankings in the Indy Racing League, but he nevertheless demonstrated his promise by placing fifth in the 1997 Indianapolis 500.

Even though his insurance does not let him ride motorcycles, he also owns a variety of motorbikes.

As of March 2024, Eddie Jordan’s net worth is approximately $600 Million.

Eddie Jordan is an Irish former motorsport team boss, businessman, and television personality from Dublin.

Jordan worked first at the Bank of Ireland.

He won the Irish Kart Championship in 1971 and moved to Formula Ford in 1974.

Early Life

Edmund Patrick Jordan was born on the 20th of March, 1949, in Dublin.

His father was the twin brother of a senior nun, Mother Rectoress of the Irish Sisters of Charity, and worked as an accountant for the electricity board.

At ten months old, Jordan developed a form of the pink disease, and his family was advised by doctors to move from Dublin to Bray for “fresh air”.

Eddie Jordan got his start at the Irish Kart Championship in 1971, where he walked away with the title.

A few years later, he entered Formula Ford and, in 1975, he moved into Formula Three but shattered his leg a year later.

Once he recovered, he switched to Formula Atlantic and took home the win in three races in 1977.

He won the Irish Formula Atlantic Championship in 1978 and then joined Stefan Johansson in British Formula Three.

However, Jordan was far from being one of the richest racing drivers in the world, so he needed a way to make money.

Forming A Team

By the end of 1979, Eddie Jordan was short on funds, so he founded Eddie Jordan Racing with drivers David Leslie and David Sears.

In 1982, his main driver was James Weaver, who ran in the European F3 before Jordan hired Martin Brundle to take his place.

Brundle finished second to Ayrton Senna in the British F3 and was the star driver until Johnny Herbert won the British Formula Three Championship in 1987.

Jordan also entered a Formula 3000 team, which had its first wins with Martin Donnelly and Johnny Herbert in 1988.

The following year, his 3000 team was dominant throughout the season, and his driver, Jean Alesi, ended up winning the championship.

Entering Formula One

Eddie Jordan founded the Jordan Grand Prix in 1991 with Gary Anderson, his Formula 3000 engineer, as his Chief Designer.

His team quickly garnered a lot of respect, and Jordan was responsible for giving Michael Schumacher his Formula One debut.

However, after racing with Jordan Grand Prix during their first year, Schumacher left to join rivals Benetton.

In 1998, the team had their best year when Damon Hill and Ralf Schumacher finished first and second respectively at the Belgian Grand Prix.

The following year, Jordan’s driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen became a contender for the championship but ended up finishing third.

Despite that, his was the best placing ever for a Jordan Driver, and he accumulated two other race wins along the way.

Jordan’s Decline

When Eddie Jordan’s team lost out on a Honda engine partnership deal in 2002, problems started cropping up.

Jordan was forced to switch to more expensive Cosworth engines and had a public fight with Frentzen that resulted in the driver’s firing.

Adding to this, DHL withdrew its sponsorship of the team, followed soon after by Benson & Hedges.

However, Jordan still earned a race win in Brazil thanks to Giancarlo Fisichella, though it ended up being their last.

In 2001, Jordan sued Vodafone for breaking their sponsorship agreement but lost the case in yet another setback.

Despite new sponsors and the addition of Nick Heidfeld and Timo Glock, the team was steadily on the decline.

Like Eddie Irvine, Jordan did his best to hold things together after so many milestones, but in 2004, he gave up his team’s ownership.

Jordan’s Media Career

After giving up ownership of his team, Eddie Jordan became an F1 pundit for BBC Sport’s Grand Prix with David Coulthard and Jake Humphrey.

At the same time, Jordan wrote a monthly column for F1 Racing magazine and, in 2007, was made the chairman of Rally Ireland.

In 2016, he became a host on Top Gear and later was made the lead analyst for C4F1 on Channel 4.

Most recently, he launched his podcast, Formula For Success, with David Coulthard, where the pair interview celebrity guests.

Favorite Quotes from Mack Maine

“Nah. I don’t really do that no more; it doesn’t pay the bills, dawg. I can still do it; it’s like fingers, hard to lose … like limbs! It’s still that, but that’s not what I do, you know? I make songs. I still can freestyle. I play around with that, and I’m on the business side too. I get my President on, and I get my exec on around here.” – Mack Maine

“That’s NOT all hip hop. Nah. It’s like…TALENT. All-around talent. Even on Young Money all the artists, sing, rap — they are multi-talented. So it’s not just about hip hop.” – Mack Maine

“I left New Orleans the night before Katrina, so I was in Houston. I was actually at Wayne’s spot, and I thought I was just like leaving for two days. Usually, I stay for Hurricane warnings, and what happens is the lights go out, and I’d be sitting in the dark can’t do anything.” – Mack Maine

“Honestly, it still affects me. My whole family is split up. If I wanna see my dad, I go to New Orleans. If I want to see my mom, I go to Atlanta. If I wanna see my sister, I got to go to L.A. A lot of my friends, you know, they moved, too.” – Mack Maine

“Yeah, it’s always home. I always tell my homies, like, ‘I miss home.’ There ain’t no place like New Orleans. I miss seeing familiar faces, I miss seeing streets I know, just being able to get around without using navigation!” – Mack Maine
