Introduction

Tyler Perry’s net worth is approximately $800 Million. He is an extremely popular and successful American actor, writer, producer, and director. He is widely recognized for his sitcoms and movies that portray themes of a typical African American household in a sarcastic manner.

One of his most famous and beloved characters, ‘Madea,‘ has gained the most popularity in his films and has further reappeared in numerous films.

Early Life

Emmitt Perry Jr., or Tyler Perry, was born in New Orleans on September 13, 1969, to Emmitt Perry Sr. and Willie Maxine Perry.

Perry didn’t have a happy childhood. On the contrary, it was violent and rough because his own father physically abused him. Consequently, Perry often had suicidal thoughts and even attempted to commit suicide once.

The only place where Perry could find peace and comfort was church, where, together with his mother, a young boy went every single Sunday.

After turning 16 years old, he changed his name to Tyler to further distance himself from his father. The boy also didn’t complete high school but earned a GED.

When Tyler was 20, he heard a comment on the Oprah Winfrey show stating that writing helped people conquer their depression and encouraged them to work out their problems. Soon after that, he began writing his musical ‘I Know I’ve Been Changed,’ which would be performed in 1992.

The Oprah Winfrey show has become a turning point in Perry’s life, and writing has become a saving escape for the growing star.

Career

Tyler Perry's Career

Although he was financially unstable, Tyler repeatedly rewrote and reproduced his musical after its initial performance. In 1998 Tyler’s musical ‘I Know I’ve Been Changed’ was well received by audiences and continued to put on shows at several different locations.

In 2000 he produced a second play, ‘I Can Do Bad All by Myself,’ which featured Tyler Perry’s iconic ‘Madea,’ a character played by himself.

A year later, he produced ‘Diary of a Mad Black Woman’ followed by ‘Madea’s Family Reunion’ the next year. Both of these received positive reactions.

In 2003 came ‘Madea’s Class Reunion,’ which led to him promoting his plays during the first tour. The year 2005 brought Perry’s debut on the big screen with his film ‘Diary of a Mad Black Woman’ instantly became a huge success.

In 2006 Perry filmed ‘Madea’s Family Reunion’ and launched his new television series on TBS (Tyler Perry Studios) called ‘Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.’

Later that same year, he published his best-selling book,’ Don’t Make A Black Woman Take Off Her Earrings: Madea’s Uninhibited Commentaries on Love and Life.’

In 2007 he released the film ‘Daddy’s Little Girls’ and in 2008, his film ‘Meet the Browns’ did so well that it was adapted into a television sitcom the following year.

Since then, he has produced numerous films, including ‘Madea’s Big Happy Family,’ ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?,’ ‘Good Deeds,’ ‘A Madea Christmas,’ ‘The Single Moms Club,’ and more recently ‘Acrimony.’

Personal Life

Since 2009, Perry has been in a long-term relationship with model and social activist from Addis Ababa Gelila Bekele. The couple met at a Prince’s concert in 2007. Something that was called “love at first sight” continued for over a decade. Though the two didn’t decide on getting married, on November 30, 2014, Gelila Bekele gave birth to their son Aman Tyler Perry. In 2020, the couple broke up.

Introduction

Usain Bolt is a Jamaican former professional Olympic sprinter with an estimated net worth of $90 Million, making him one of the highest-paid Olympians ever, just before Michael Phelps.

Early Career

Usain Bolt began his professional career in 2004 at the CARIFTA Games in Bermuda, where he was the first junior to run 200m in under 20 seconds. However, after earning the Austin Sealy Trophy, a hamstring injury prevented him from competing in the 2004 World Junior Championships.

Despite that, he was still chosen for the Jamaican Olympic squad, though his injury held him back and eliminated him in the first round of the 200m sprint. While many American universities offered Bolt scholarships to train with them, he chose to stay in his home country of Jamaica.

In 2005, Usain Bolt hired a new coach, Glen Mills, who recognized the young runner’s potential. They began training for the upcoming season. While the year started well, at the 2005 World Championships, Bolt suffered an injury in the final that kept him from finishing the season.

Once recovered, Bolt reached the top five in the world rankings, but in 2006, he suffered another hamstring injury and was out until May. He then won his first major world medal at the IAAF World Athletics Final, taking home the silver medal in the IAAF World Cup.

At the Jamaican Championships, he ran 19.75s in the 200m, breaking the record held by Don Quarrie for 36 years. Bolt built on these successes in 2007 at the World Championships in Osaka, Japan, earning a silver medal and coming second to Tyson Gay. After that, he won the silver medal in the 4×100 meter relay with team members Asafa Powell, Nesta Carter, and Marvin Anderson.

Olympic Career

In May 2008, Usain Bolt set a new 100m record at the Reebok Grand Prix and qualified for the Beijing Summer Olympics. During the Olympic 100m final, Bolt won the race in 9.69 seconds, taking first place even after slowing down to celebrate before the finish line.

While he could have potentially set a new record, Bolt stated that setting a record wasn’t his priority, and instead, he just wanted to win gold. He then turned his attention to the 200m race, and during the final, he took home Jamaica’s fourth gold medal of the Games.

After his victory, the song “Happy Birthday” played over the speakers as his 22nd birthday was the following day. Bolt broke another record during the 4x100m team relay, increasing his gold medal count to three that year. However, following the Games, his relay team was stripped of their medals when it was discovered that Carter had taken banned substances. That said, thanks to his skills and speed, Bolt quickly became one of the world’s wealthiest Olympians

Subsequent Olympic Races

Bolt participated in the 2012 London Olympics and won the 100m race with a time of 9.63 seconds, improving his record from Beijing. After that, he defended his Olympic 200m title and became the first in history to consecutively protect both of his Olympic titles.

Following his Olympic appearance, Bolt was confirmed as the highest-earning track and field athlete in history. Bolt returned to the Olympics in 2016, and when asked about his legacy, he stated that he wanted to be as great as Muhammad Ali and Pele

Soon after, he earned the 100m gold medal with a time of 9.81s and became the first athlete to win the event three times. He followed this up with a win in the 200m race, becoming the first athlete to win that three times. While he also earned gold in the 4×100 relay, it was once again stripped from him when his teammate Carter tested positive for doping.

Earnings History

YearEarnings
2013$24,000,000
2016$32,500,000
2017$34,200,000
2018$31,000,000
Total$121,700,000

Endorsement Deals

In 2003, while still a teenager, Usain Bolt signed a long-term endorsement deal with Puma. However, the financial terms of his first contract have never been publicly disclosed. In 2010, he signed a three-year extension with the brand, reportedly earning him an estimated $9 million per year. At the time, this was the most valuable endorsement deal ever signed by a track and field athlete. In 2013, he inked another three-year extension, with an estimated annual value of $10 million.

This alone would place his income from Puma at $57 million between 2010 and 2016. After Bolt retired, he continued serving as a brand ambassador for Puma for a somewhat reduced paycheck.

While Puma was indeed the highest-paying sponsor of Usain Bolt’s athletic career, he also engaged in partnerships with many other brands, including:

  • Advil
  • Gatorade
  • Hublot
  • Kinder Joy
  • Nissan
  • Virgin Media
  • Visa

At the peak of his career, Usain Bolt earned an estimated $31 million/year, with just $1 million of that sum being generated on the track.

What is Khabib Nurmagomedov’s net worth?

Net Worth:$40 Million
Age:36
Born:September 20, 1988
Country of Origin:Russia

Last Updated:Jun 1, 2025

Introduction

Khabib Nurmagomedov is a Russian former professional UFC fighter and current MMA coach with an estimated net worth of $40 Million.

Nurmagomedov retired on his own terms after losing his father, a man who was always in his corner for every one of his fights. Khabib’s professional MMA record remains 29-0-0, going undefeated throughout his career.

Quick Facts

  • Earned an estimated $15 million in UFC fight earnings
  • Received $6.09 million for his final UFC fight
  • Fined $500,000 for jumping the cage after the McGregor fight

MMA Career

Khabib Nurmagomedov made his professional MMA debut in September 2008 and, within a month, secured four wins—three in a single day.

In October 2008, he won the inaugural Atrium Cup tournament championship in Moscow, and over the next three years, he remained undefeated, winning 12 matches.

Khabib marked his M-1 Global debut in 2009 with a thumping victory and signed a six-fight deal with the UFC. He made his UFC debut on January 20, 2012, defeating Kamal Shalorus via submission. On July 7, he defeated Gleison Tibau via unanimous decision.

Khabib trained at the American Kickboxing Academy for the first time during his fight against Tibau and, in January 2013, defeated Thiago Tavares via KO. He set a UFC record for most takedowns in a single fight with 21 takedowns against Abel Trujillo on May 25, 2013.

Sustaining Multiple Injuries

On September 21, 2013, Khabib defeated Pat Healy via unanimous decision and then faced Rafael dos Anjos on April 19, 2014, winning via unanimous decision. Khabib was scheduled to fight Tony Ferguson multiple times, but the bouts were canceled due to injuries and health issues.

Between 2014 and 2015, Khabib canceled several matches due to knee and other injuries but made a comeback in April 2016, beating Darrell Horcher.

On December 30, 2017, Khabib defeated Edson Barboza at UFC 219, earning him his first-ever Performance of the Night bonus. He won the UFC Lightweight Championship on April 7, 2018, by defeating Al Iaquinta at UFC 223, proving that he was in top form.

Khabib then made his first title defense on October 6, 2018, against Conor McGregor at UFC 229, defeating McGregor via submission in the fourth round. Following the McGregor fight, Khabib was involved in a post-fight brawl, resulting in suspensions and fines due to his loss of control.

Successfully Defending His Title

Khabib defended his title against Dustin Poirier on September 7, 2019, at UFC 242, winning the fight via submission in the third round.

On October 24, 2020, Khabib defended his title against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254, beating him with a triangle choke in the second round. After the Gaethje fight, Khabib announced his retirement from MMA with an impressive undefeated record of 29 wins and no losses.

Due to his record and technical ability, Khabib is widely considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. Khabib was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame on June 30, 2022, joining previous champions like Frankie Edgar, Jose Aldo, and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. His impressive UFC record is ascribed to his background in wrestling, judo, and sambo, as he’s a two-time world champion in combat sambo.

At the time of his retirement, he was ranked #1 in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings, producing results that were the envy of fellow competitors. Using the money he earned in the UFC, Khabib founded Eagles MMA and promoted the Eagle Fighting Championship after retirement.

Receiving Awards And Accolades

Nurmagomedov was awarded the title of “Honorary Citizen of Grozny” in October 2018 by the mayor of Grozny, Ibrahim Zakriev, in recognition of his accomplishments. This honor was awarded following his victory against Conor McGregor at UFC 229, precipitating a massive round of gifts from his homeland.

In an interview with Dana White, head of the UFC, he remarked that Vladimir Putin and other leaders showered Khabib with gifts. Chechnya’s leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, presented Khabib with a Mercedes car, which the Akhmad Kadyrov Foundation funded.

His father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, was awarded the title of “Honoured Worker of Physical Culture of the Chechen Republic” by Kadyrov. In 2019, the Head of the Republic of Dagestan, Vladimir Vasilyev, awarded Khabib and his father the Order for Services to the Republic of Dagestan.

UFC Earnings

YearOpponentSalary
2012Rafael Dos Anjos$64,000
2012Darrell Horcher$135,000
2013Michael Johnson$170,000
2014Edson Barbosa$230,000
2015Al Iaquinta$530,000
2016Conor McGregor$1,540,000
2017Dustin Poirier$6,090,000
2017Justin Gaethje$6,090,000
Total Career Earnings:$14,849,000

The UFC has typically also followed a pay structure of pay-to-show and pay-to-win for the up-and-coming fighters. As a fighter’s ranking and star power improve, they begin earning significantly higher paychecks per fight, often receiving a small percentage of the pay-per-view (PPV) sales.

One of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s earliest recorded salaries was $64,000 for defeating Rafael dos Anjos in 2014. He earned 50% ($32,000) to show up, and the other 50% for his win bonus. Given that Khabib never lost during his professional MMA career, we know that he always secured the win bonus when it was available.

In 2016, he earned $135,000 for defeating Darrell Horcher, which included a $65,000 to show, a $65,000 to win, and a $5,000 promotional bonus. That same year, his next victory against Michael Johnson earned him $80,000 to show, $80,000 to win, and a $10,000 bonus, totalling $170,000.

By 2017, Khabib’s base show/win rate had increased to $85,000, earning him $170,000 for defeating Edson Barbosa. However, this time he received $60,000 in bonuses, totaling $230,000.

Title Fight Earnings

Khabib’s final four fights in the UFC were all title fights, which meant he was no longer on the pay-to-show and pay-to-win structure. He was now guaranteed a certain purse per fight, which led to him earning significantly higher sums. When he won the lightweight championship belt against Al Iaquinta in 2018, he received a total of $530,000.

When he defeated Conor McGregor by rear-naked choke in October 2018, Khabib earned a guaranteed $2 million, plus an additional $40,000 bonus. However, after making McGregor tap out in the fourth round, Khabib immediately jumped out of the cage and lunged into the crowd, aiming for Dillon Danis. One of his teammates jumped into the octagon and started throwing punches at McGregor. His antics led to the UFC suspending him and fining him $500,000, reducing his earnings from the fight to $1.54 million.

For his final two fights against Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje, Khabib earned $6.09 million per fight. This brings his total known earnings to roughly $14.85 million. However, this doesn’t include his first five fights in the organization. Assuming a scalable pay-to-show, pay-to-win structure, he likely earned between $20,000 and $48,000 per fight. This potentially brings his career earnings to just over $15 million.

Estimated Net Worth

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s net worth is $40 Million.
