Introduction

Jody Scheckter is a South African race car driver and businessman with an estimated net worth of $100 Million.

Scheckter competed from 1972 to 1980. During his career, he achieved ten victories for Ferrari, McLaren, Tyrrel, and Wolf and won the Formula One World Championship in 1979 for Ferrari.

He gave up racing and started a business, FATS Inc., which produced firearm training simulators for use by security, military, and law enforcement agencies. Jody sold the business to support his sons Tomas and Toby’s racing careers. He is currently a biodynamic farmer and a famous face in movies and television shows.

Early Life

Jody David Scheckter was born January 29, 1950, in East London, South Africa. Scheckter began to drive when he was relatively young, but he only knew one speed-fast, and he was never happy unless he was going flat out.

His father owned a Renault dealership, and Jody worked there as an engineering apprentice. With his competitive mindset, he tried racing, initially on bikes and then in saloon cars.

He was disqualified from the circuit after his maiden national race for reckless driving, but eventually developed the skill to control his aggression and turn into a consistent winner.

Jody attended Hudson Park High School and Selborne College and received the “Driver to Europe” scholarship in 1970, after winning the South African Formula Ford championship.

Scheckter began his quest to become the best driver in the world with the help of his prize, £300 in cash and tickets to England for him and his wife Pam.

Racing Career

The “South African Wild Man” soon established himself in England as a machine spinner and winner in the Formula Ford and Formula Three vehicles he raced fearlessly, but frequently crashed. His rough appearance and feisty demeanor appeared to go down well with his somewhat reckless driving.

He was not to be trifled with, speaking plainly and with a fiery temper, his woolly hair and distinctive frown were intimidating to race officials and competitors alike.

However, his speed was unquestionable, and when he was able to maintain it, his car handling was superb.

Visionary talent scouts believed that the driver was a gem in the rough who only needed some polishing to become a Formula One powerhouse to be reckoned with.

In 1979, Enzo Ferrari invited Scheckter to join one of the most popular luxury car brands, Ferrari Scuderia, and join Gilles Villeneuve in the innovative, ground-effect 312T4 race car.

Scheckter drove consistently and tactically the whole season, winning 3 races and becoming the Formula One Championship winner in 1979.

To top it all, he was able to take Ferrari to a Constructors’ Win, but was unable to remain competitive in 1980 and retired from racing at the end of the season.

He is one of the richest racing drivers in the world and joins Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, and Lewis Hamilton as the most successful drivers on the circuit.

He later sold the $100 million business he’d built, with 280 staff and a presence in 35 countries, to take time off to manage his sons’ racing careers. After driving the most expensive Ferraris in the world, he started an organic farming business in Hampshire, England called Laverstoke Park Farm.

Career Earnings

As Scheckter is now retired, calculating his annual income accurately is not possible, although there are reports that he earns more than $10 million per year.

His daughter Ila, age 21, passed away tragically on October 17, 2019, as she was preparing for further brain surgery.

After a prosperous commercial career in the US, Clare Scheckter relocated to the UK in 1996.

While there, she played a key role in the founding of Laverstoke Park Farm, a 2,500-acre organic and biodynamic estate in Hampshire, England.

After winning the Formula One world championship in his Ferrari 312 T4 in 1979, Jody Scheckter gave up racing in 1980.

Later, he focused on business, launching the wildly successful FATS Inc. in the United States. Currently, he is content to work at Hampshire’s Laverstoke Park Farm, where he is a multiple-award-winning farmer.

To complement the Ferrari race car he owned, Jody began collecting many cars that he had driven over the years. He currently has a substantial car collection, which includes a Tyrrell P34, also known as a 6-wheel Tyrrell, as well as a Wolf WR1, a McLaren M23, and a McLaren M19. He also added a McLaren M21, Rondel Motul M1, the Merlyn Mk21, a Trojan T101, Merlyn Mk11a, and his beloved Porsche 917.

He also owns property in South Africa worth more than $20 million in Cape Town and posts pictures of his sea views on his Twitter account.

Ray J is an American professional singer, songwriter, actor, and producer with an estimated net worth of $14 Million.

Quick Facts

  • Earns approximately $30,000 per month from sex tape royalties
  • Signed a one-year, $1 million contract with Fundanna in 2022
  • Leased an LA home for $19,500 per month while filming Love of Ray J.

Music Career

Ray J began his career in the entertainment industry at a young age as the younger brother of the renowned singer Brandy. He acted in television commercials and landed his first significant role on The Sinbad Show in 1993. His performance on the show showcased his impressive talent and paved the way for more opportunities in television and music.

In 1996, Ray J joined the cast of Moesha, starring alongside his sister Brandy, which helped him gain a significant fan base.

Ray J’s music career began in earnest in the late 1990s when he signed with Elektra Records and released his debut album, Everything You Want. The album included the hit single “Let It Go,” which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1997, hinting at Ray J’s nascent talent.

However, it was his second album, This Ain’t a Game, released in 2001, that marked his breakthrough in the music industry. The album featured the hit single “Wait a Minute,” featuring Lil’ Kim, which became a huge commercial success. Ray J’s smooth vocals and catchy hooks helped him carve out a niche in the R&B and hip-hop scene.

Reality TV

In the mid-2000s, Ray J expanded his career into reality television, significantly boosting his public profile and widening his financial horizons. He became involved with Kim Kardashian, and their fans were horrified after a sex tape featuring the two stars appeared in 2007.

Ray J starred in the VH1 reality show For the Love of Ray J, which premiered in 2009 and became a hit. The show’s success led to a second season and further cemented Ray J’s status as a popular reality TV star.

In addition to his television work, Ray J has pursued various entrepreneurial ventures over the years, focusing on the music industry. He launched his own line of electronics, including the popular Raycon Global brand, known for its wireless earbuds and audio products. His business acumen and ability to leverage his fame have made Ray J a successful entrepreneur in the electronic accessories retail space.

Sex Tape Earnings

In March 2007, Vivid Entertainment released a sex tape featuring Kim Kardashian and Ray J. Given the stars’ popularity from music and reality television, it’s safe to say that the controversial video was viewed by an overwhelming number of people. In 2022, TMZ reported on a leaked email from Vivid Entertainment to Kim Kardashian, with a spreadsheet attached.

Steven Hirsch, the correspondent in the email, states: “Hey guys.. here’s the first statement.. 1.4m in sales month 1.. I think that’s pretty good.”

The attached spreadsheet shows how much money the tape made in its first month, totaling $1,424,636.63. This revenue was primarily generated from DVD sales, which accounted for $1.255 million, while internet revenue totaled $126,908, plus an additional $15,000 from licensing and $27,150 from international sales. It’s worth mentioning that the couple actively promoted the tape, spending $28,000 on affiliate traffic to generate sales.

Ray J later said he and Kim would each receive a $400,000 lump sum plus 12.5% of the tape’s profits, as per their contract with Vivid Entertainment. Several reports suggest that the tape has now generated over $100 million in revenue, and Ray J reportedly still receives roughly $30,000 per month in royalties.

As for Kim Kardashian, she was quick to file a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment, claiming she never authorized the release of the tape. This is somewhat confusing, considering the previous email from Steven Hirsch. In any case, the lawsuit was settled for a reported $5 million.

William Ray LA

In 2019, Ray J launched a cannabis line called William Ray LA, further expanding his entrepreneurial endeavors into a previously restricted niche. According to reports, he injected $5 million of his own capital into the company. William Ray LA was set up as a brand management company for marijuana businesses, helping them grow and market their brands. A year later, Ray J signed a deal to become the Chief Strategic Media Officer for Fundanna/MarijuanaStock.org. His contract was reportedly one year in length, paying him an annual salary of $1 million. It’s not clear whether he still works for the company.

Real Estate

The only known property history for Ray J is a 6,143-square-foot, six-bedroom rental in Los Angeles that he leased for the first season of Love of Ray J. According to public records, he paid $19,500 per month in rent for the property, which was also featured on season 16 of MTV Cribs. It now has an estimated value of $6.33 million.

  • Previously paid $18,000 per month in child support
  • Annual income of $2 million in 2008, dropping to $600,000 by 2015
  • Filed a court petition to have his monthly child support reduced to $2,900
  • Rents out his Calabasas mansion for $23,000 per month

Collaborations

Apart from Blink-182, Travis Barker has also collaborated prolifically with other music projects. Among them are such popular bands as The Aquabats, The Transplants, +44, TRV$DJAM, and Box Car Racer.

In 2011, Travis released his debut solo album, Give the Drummer Some, featuring appearances from notable artists such as Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Swizz BeatzIt’s fair to say he’s earned quite a bit from his collaborative efforts. Recently, Travis has been working hard on a duo with superstar Machine Gun Kelly and playing drums for TikTok young stars Jxden and Lil Huddy.

Business Ventures

In addition to his musical interests, Travis owns several businesses. In 1999, he established a clothing line called Famous Stars, which sells jackets, t-shirts, hats, and other street and skate-style accessories.

Moreover, together with well-known skateboarder Rob Dyrdek, Travis is part of the Rogue Status clothing label, and since 2009, another label, DTA, has been added. The drummer also co-founded LaSalle Records, a record company. In 2014, he entered the restaurant business. Travis opened Wahoo’s Fish Taco, a Mexican restaurant with Brazilian and Asian influences, in Norco, California.

Additionally, Barker designed a shoe for DC Shoe Company, called “Alias Remix.” He also owns a line of drumming products, including sticks bearing his signature, which Zildjian sponsors.

Child Support Dispute

Travis Barker was previously married to Shanna Moakler; however, the couple filed for divorce just two years later, and the proceedings were finalized in 2008. Under the initial divorce agreement, Barker was reportedly paying $18,000 per month in child support for their two children, Landon and Alabama.

In 2016, Travis filed a petition to have his monthly child support payments drastically reduced, claiming his 2015 income was only $600,000. While that’s by no means a small amount of money, it’s a big step down from the $2 million per year that he was earning during Blink-182’s peak in the 1990s and early 2000s. Barker sought to have his monthly obligations reduced from $18,000 to $2,900. His petition also listed his net worth at roughly $37 million.

Travis also made several claims regarding the environment in which his children were being raised. He alleged that Moakler was misusing the child support payments and brought up the possibility of Moakler keeping guns and or drugs within the home. Unfortunately, updates regarding the case were never made public.

Real Estate

In May 2017, Travis Barker paid $2.825 million for a 7,196-square-foot, six-bedroom, six-bathroom home in Calabasas, California. Since February 2019, Barker has been renting out the property to individuals for up to $27,500 per month. It appears he rented it out for an entire year in 2019 at the above rate, totaling $330,000. The most recent price it was listed at was $23,000 per month in 2023. According to recent estimates, the property is valued at approximately $5.6 million and has annual property taxes of around $40,000.

In October 2022, Travis and Kourtney Kardashian paid $14.5 million to acquire Conan O’Brien‘s 2,100-square-foot beach house in Carpinteria, California. Conan paid $7.9 million for the property in 2015 and spent a substantial sum on renovations. He first listed it for sale in July 2022, with an asking price of $16.5 million.

Introduction

Michael Bisping is an English professional sports analyst, actor, commentator, and former MMA fighter with an estimated net worth of $9 Million.

Bisping is a former UFC Middleweight Champion, Cage Rage Light Heavyweight Champion, and The Ultimate Fighter 3 Light Heavyweight tournament winner.

Early Career

Michael Bisping made his professional MMA debut at Pride & Glory 2: Battle of the Ages in 2004 and scored his first knockout a month later.

In 2006, he joined The Ultimate Fighter 3 reality series, training under Tito Ortiz as a contestant and winning the final as a Light Heavyweight. After this victory, he was set to fight Eric Schafer, but withdrew due to visa issues. Fortunately, the bout was rescheduled, and when the pair faced off, Bisping defeated Schafer by TKO during the first round.

UFC

After scoring a TKO against Elvis Sinosic in 2007, Michael Bisping faced Matt Hamill and won the match via split decision. However, his victory was highly controversial, with many fans believing Hamill won the fight. His next big fight was at UFC 78, where he faced off against Ultimate Fighter winner Rashad Evans, which resulted in his first loss. Following that, and with the support of UFC president Dana White, Bisping decided to drop down to middleweight.

Bisping made his middleweight debut against Charles McCarthy and won by TKO. He then beat Jason Day by TKO in June 2008. He then fought Chris Leben as the headliner of UFC 89 and won by unanimous decision, after which Leben tested positive for steroid use. Soon after, Bisping was announced as one of the coaches for the ninth season of The Ultimate Fighter alongside Dan Henderson. After coaching on The Ultimate Fighter, Michael Bisping fought Dan Henderson in UFC 100, which ended up being his first KO loss.

In November 2009, he faced Denis Kang and won by TKO in the second round. The following year, he defeated Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 120, and they won the Fight of the Night award for their performance.

Bisping then stepped into the ring with Jorge Rivera in 2011, and the match ended with a TKO from Bisping in the second round. This fight was filled with trash talk, which continued after Bisping won. Ultimately, Bisping was fined for running his mouth. Soon after, several fighters, including Chael Sonnen, Demian Maia, Vitor Belfort, and Alan Belcher, came forward to challenge Michael Bisping to a fight.

UFC Earnings

Michael Bisping is one of the hardest fighters to find salary information for. During our research, we found just six of his fight purses, which is barely anything considering he fought almost thirty times with the promotion. His earliest recorded paycheck was $24,000 for his win against Eric Schafer at UFC 66, comprising $12,000 to show and $12,000 to win. This was also the case for his fight with Elvis Sinosic at UFC 70.

When Bisping fought Jason Miller at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale in 2011, he earned a combined $425,000 through base salary and win bonuses. Some of The Count’s additional fight purses include $385,000 for beating Jorge Rivera at UFC 127, $250,000 for his second fight against Luke Rockhold, and $320,000 for his fight against Anderson Silva.

YouTube Channel

Bisping has created multiple successful income streams outside of his professional fighting career. His first venture into content creation came with the launch of his official YouTube channel in 2012.

The channel, however, didn’t become consistently active until around 2020, when Bisping began posting regular content, including reaction videos, event breakdowns, and vlogs. The channel now has more than 719,000 subscribers and reportedly generates between $997 and $16,000 per month, with an estimated annual revenue of up to $134,000, depending on viewer figures and sponsorships.

Believe You Me Podcast

As Bisping’s UFC career began to wind down in 2017, he launched his podcast, Believe You Me, to stay involved in the sport. At the time, while Bisping was recovering from injuries sustained during his professional fighting career, the podcast gave him a platform to discuss fight news and connect with his fans. It became particularly popular for blending MMA analysis with comedy and personal anecdotes, something few fighters had done before.

Over the years, co-hosts of the show have included fellow UFC fighters Anthony Smith and Paul Felder, with Felder joining Bisping to co-host the show full-time in early 2025.

Film Roles

Before fully retiring from the UFC, Bisping had already begun taking on acting roles, although this became more significant after 2018. Some of his film appearances include XXX: Return of Xander Cage, My Name Is Lenny, and Triple Threat, alongside martial arts icons Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais. Following his retirement, he appeared in the TV shows Magnum P.I., Warrior, and The Journeyman.

UFC Commentary Earnings

After Bisping finally retired from fighting in 2018, he signed a four-year commentary deal with the UFC in 2019. His role included giving expert analysis across major fight nights and pay-per-view events. Bisping reportedly earns approximately $75,000 per event, which makes him one of the organization’s top-paid commentators. Given the number of UFC events he covers each year, he could earn up to $1.46 million annually.

In addition to his primary commentary duties, he occasionally provides commentary for Power Slap, a combat sports series created by UFC president Dana White, earning an additional supplementary income.

Punch It Films

More recently, in early 2025, Bisping launched his own film production and finance company in Los Angeles alongside filmmaker Nika Agiashvili, producer John Edward Lee, and actor George Finn. Called Punch It Films, the company was officially introduced at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in partnership with Storyman Pictures. The company’s focus is on creating action-packed, fight-inspired thrillers that blend storytelling with authentic MMA fighting.

Punch It Films’ first project, Atlas King, began production in the summer of 2025 and tells the story of an ex-fighter returning home after the death of a close friend. Bisping is both an actor and producer in the film, and he plans to develop several mid-budget action thrillers for the international streaming market in the future. Bisping has become one of MMA’s most successful fighters-turned-media figures, and his current projects and income streams are evidence of that.
