Jorge Masvidal is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the UFC welterweight division.

He was a fighter with Bellator and Strikeforce before making his UFC debut in 2013.

Jorge Masvidal’s net worth is estimated to be $6 Million.

Quick Facts

  • Masvidal was born in Miami, Florida and grew up in the metro area.
  • He began his professional mixed martial arts career with AFC, amassing an 8-1 record.
  • In 2009, Masvidal moved to Bellator where he won two of his three matches.
  • He made his UFC debut in 2013, defeating Tim Means via unanimous decision.
  • Masvidal owns the fastest knockout in UFC history at just five seconds.

Early Life

Jorge Masvidal was born November 12, 1984 in Miami, Florida and attended St. Brendan High School.

Masvidal ran with a rough crowd while growing up and was getting into street fights before organized competition.

Thankfully, mixed martial arts and karate classes helped Masvidal get on the right track and he started training for competition.

On May 24, 2003, Masvidal made his professional debut with a win over Brandon Bledsoe at AFC 3 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Career

Throughout his time with Absolute Fighting Championships, Masvidal won the promotion’s Welterweight Championship and fought with various promotions including Strikeforce and World Victory Road before signing with Dana White and the UFC.

In 2009, Masvidal made the jump to Bellator where he finished 2-1, including a victory over Eric Reynolds in June of that year.

After 30 career fights, Masvidal finally made his UFC debut with a win over Tim Means and he soon became a staple of the promotion in the same way Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell were.

Over the years, Masvidal has had signature wins over fights including Darren Till, Ben Askren, and Nate Diaz while dropping both of his UFC Welterweight Championship matches to Kamaru Usman.

Jorge Masvidal’s Career Earnings

During his time with Absolute Fighting Championships, Masvidal was making a living, but his fight payouts have skyrocketed since joining the UFC.

The mixed martial artist finally broke the seven-figure payout mark in 2019 thanks to his big fights, doing so again the following year.

He’s come far from Shark Fights and Strikeforce payouts, earning big bucks in the UFC’s welterweight division.

Net Worth Annually

During the early parts of his career, Jorge Masvidal was simply establishing a foundation for his net worth, but his win at UFC Fight Night made him a millionaire.

Masvidal hopes to keep his net worth high despite recent losses to the likes of Stephen Thompson, Colby Covington, and Kamaru Usman, sticking around in the main event scene.
