This fight was filled with trash talk, which continued after Bisping won. Ultimately, Bisping was fined for running his mouth.

Soon after, several fighters, including Chael Sonnen, Demian Maia, Vitor Belfort, and Alan Belcher, came forward to challenge Michael Bisping to a fight.

In 2016, he took on Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 to become the UFC Middleweight Champion and the first British fighter to earn the title.

Bisping defended his title against Georges St-Pierre at UFC 217 but lost in the third round via technical submission.

After losing the middleweight title, Bisping faced Kelvin Gastelum and lost via TKO in the first round.

Michael Bisping then announced his retirement in May 2018 and, in December, appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, stating injuries forced him to step back.
