This Canadian wrestler is one of the most celebrated wrestlers in WWE history and his wealth comes from his putting his body on the line in the ring and as an actor.

  • He was crowned King of the Ring tournament winner in 2001.
  • Edge won the WWE Tag Team Championship twice, in 2002 and again in 2009.
  • In 2005, he was the first Money in the Bank, ladder match winner.
  • Edge won the combined Raw, SmackDown, and ECW, 2010 Royal Rumble event.
  • He retired shortly after defeating Alberto Del Rio in 2011, due to suffering a serious neck injury.
  • To everyone’s surprise, he came out of retirement in 2020 to defeat Elias with a spear move.

Early Life

Adam Joseph Copeland, AKA Edge, was born October 30, 1973, in Asheville, Canada.

With an absent dad, Edge was brought up by his single mother, Judy Lynn, in a rural town based in Ontario. His mother worked two jobs to try and give her son the most normal life possible.

His passion for wrestling was ignited when he was ten years old and met wrestler, Jason “Christian” Reso. Hugely impressed, he and his friend would sneak out to Maple Leaf Gardens to watch wrestling matches.

The moment he realized that he wanted a career in wrestling was when, at 16 years old, he watched his hero, Hulk Hogan, challenge The Ultimate Warrior. At 17, Edge won an essay competition that offered free wrestling training from Ron Hutchison and Sweet Daddy Siki.

During his teenage years, Edge picked up odd jobs and worked with his mom at factories to help pay the bills. In his spare time, he continued his wrestling training and eventually started using his skills to pay the bills.

After holding various jobs, Edge attended Humber College, where he earned a diploma in radio broadcasting.

Edge then focused on his wrestling career and appeared on the North American independent promotions circuit.

Career

After a bout in WCW, Edge signed a development deal with the WWF in 1997. A year after signing, he made his debut with the new stage name, “Edge”.

He was featured mainly on RAW and PPVs at the time, before teaming up with his story-brother, Christian. The two started a feud with “The Brood”, who were later converted to The Undertaker’s Ministry of Darkness. Edge and Christian went on to compete with many popular tag teams, such as “The Hollys”, “Dudley Boyz”, and “The Hardy Boyz”.

Edge won his first solo title in the King of the Ring Tournament in 2001. After many more successes, he was drafted to SmackDown, where he fought against John Cena, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and many other wrestlers before meeting his end during a match against Alberto Del Rio, where he suffered a major neck injury.

After being sidelined because of his neck injury, Edge returned to deliver an emotional speech about the realities of his wrestling career and how he was retiring due to doctors’ orders. He was diagnosed with Cervical Spinal Stenosis, which meant that one wrong move and he could become completely paralyzed.

Nine years later, he appeared for a final match, where he beat Elias with a spear. This created the rumor that he may be returning, but it was immediately denied and WWE confirmed that it was his final fight.

However, against his doctor’s recommendation, Edge returned to compete in the 2020 Royal Rumble. He beat Randy Orton but was unable to beat Roman Reigns, who defeated him.

In 2021, Edge made an impressive comeback by winning multiple titles and defeating various top wrestlers.

Recently, Edge has returned to help The Mysterios defeat Judgement Day, so follow him on his official Instagram account to keep up to date with his next moves.

By 1965, his mother had remarried, and they had relocated to Indonesia for four years. In 1971, Obama returned to Honolulu to live with his maternal grandparents, where he attended and graduated from Punahou School in 1979.

Over the years, he has discussed at length and reflected on how he managed the social perceptions related to his multicultural heritage. His educational pursuits after high school involved some moving around. By 1981, he had completed his freshman and sophomore years at Occidental College in Los Angeles.

Then, he went to New York City for his junior and senior years at Columbia University, where he graduated in 1983. In 1988, Obama entered Harvard Law School, where he graduated in 1991.

Career

After completing university, Obama taught constitutional law for twelve years at the University of Chicago Law School. First as a lecturer from 1992-1996, then as a senior lecturer teaching constitutional law.

While working for the university, he joined Miner Barnhill and Galland, a large firm, where he specialized as a civil rights attorney in civil rights litigation, including economic development.

In 2005, Obama became the Illinois state senator, winning 70% of the vote in the 2004 general election. As a senator, he co-sponsored two initiatives, Secure America and the Orderly Immigration Act. By late 2006 – early 2007, he began stepping down to prepare for his presidential campaign.

In early January 2009, Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th United States President, serving two terms until 2017. When elected president, he was the first African American president and remains the only one in history. Within his first 100 days in office, he had ordered the closing of Guantanamo Bay.

The first bill Obama signed into law was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, which changed the statute of limitations for equal-pay lawsuits.

During his terms of presidency, Obama served fearlessly and ensured and supported further statutes for LGBTQ rights. Including a crime prevention act, in combination with his support for the legalization of same-sex marriage.

His final day in the Oval Office included 330 commutations for non-violent drug offenders and commutations for well over fifteen hundred others, including Chelsea Manning.

Sources of Income

According to a recent Forbes article, the Obamas have a combined net worth of $135 million. The majority of their wealth comes from book deals and speaking engagements. The couple has earned millions of dollars in book deals and speaking fees since leaving the White House.

Barack Obama’s first book, Dreams from My Father, was published in 1995 and became a bestseller. He has since published two more books: The Audacity of Hope in 2006 and A Promised Land in 2020. According to Forbes, these three books alone have earned the Obamas $15 million.

In addition to their book earnings, the Obamas have made millions through speaking engagements. It is estimated that Barack Obama charges between $200,000 and $400,000 per speech, while Michelle Obama charges $100,000-$250,000 per speech. The Obamas gave a joint keynote address at the 2018 AIA Conference on Architecture in New York City, reportedly earning them $500,000.

They reportedly signed a joint book deal worth $65 million with Penguin Random House shortly after leaving office. In addition to being paid handsomely for speaking engagements all over the world, they’ve also signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to produce films and series for the streaming service. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it’s been estimated to be worth around $50 million.

So there you have it! The Obamas are certainly doing well for themselves post-White House. Their estimated net worth is now around $140 million, up significantly from when Barack first became President in 2009 (when it was just $1.3 million).

Donald Trump is an American politician, entrepreneur, and former president of the United States with an estimated net worth of $2 Billion.

After building a vast real estate empire, Trump transitioned into politics and, in 2016, became the 45th president of the United States. He served four years as president before losing to Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

In July 2024, during his 2024 re-election campaign, Trump attended a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where an assassination attempt was made on his life. Trump was shot in the ear, surrounded by Secret Service agents, and immediately escorted to a nearby hospital.

There have been just fourteen assassination attempts on U.S. presidents or former presidents in the last two hundred years. Only three of them have been shot and survived: Theodore Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump.

Early Life

Donald Trump was born on July 14th, 1946, in Queens, New York.

Trump had four siblings, more than most of us have, and he attended school with them in Forest Hills at the Kew-Forest school. The problem arose when he started having various difficulties at school…

His parents decided that it would be best to send him to the New York Military Academy at the age of 13; hopefully to straighten him out a little and help him direct his energy in more of a positive way. Trump was very much into sports, playing a mixture of football, soccer, and baseball.

He eventually graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 after previously being at Fordham University for two years.

Career

Donald Trump's Career

Donald Trump’s career began at his father’s company, Elizabeth Trump and Son, based in Brooklyn. The company focused on rental housing for the average Joe.

While in college, Trump undertook a project that involved refurbishing a property his dad had purchased. The property was an apartment complex in Cincinnati. After investing $500,000 in it, Trump was able to sell it for $6.75 million.

This was just over $1 million more than his dad had purchased it for back in 1962.

In 2016, Donald Trump transitioned from his normal real estate life to running for president of the United States of America against Hillary Clinton. Trump won the election in November 2016 and became the 45th president of the United States of America.

His presidential election left many people within the country divided. In 2020, he ran again for re-election for a second term but lost to Joe Biden. Biden served as the 46th president of the United States from 2020-2024, and despite initially running for re-election, he has since stepped out of the race.

Assassination Attempt

On July 13, 2024, Trump attended a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania as part of his re-election campaign. Just several minutes after stepping on the stage to speak, loud shots rang out as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire at the crowd from a nearby rooftop with an AR-15 rifle.

Trump was shot in the ear, one spectator was killed while shielding his family from the gunfire, and two further people were injured. Crooks was subsequently shot and killed by the Secret Service Counter Sniper team.

The Trump Organization

What was ‘Elizabeth Trump and Son’, Donald Trump’s father’s company, was renamed to The Trump Organization in 1971 by Trump when he was given control of the company. This was only three years after he joined full-time.

What started off as a company revolving around middle-class real estate has now turned into a huge conglomerate. It owns some of the best buildings in the world, including The Trump World Tower, and is raking in hundreds of millions of profit.

The Trump organization owns skyscrapers, hotels, golf courses, vineyards, and many other great real estate properties. It currently has 22,500 employees.
