Introduction

Harrison Ford is an American professional film producer and actor with an estimated net worth of $300 Million.

Ford’s professional career spans six decades and more than 80 films and television series. Despite his semi-retirement in 2006, several lucrative paydays have returned him to the big screen, including a $65 million payday from 2008’s Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Best known for starring as Han Solo in Star Wars and Indy in Indiana Jones, Harrison’s films have grossed $8.9 billion worldwide.

Although he was paid only $1,000 per week for A New Hope in the 70s and $610,000 for the original trilogy overall, the franchise’s notoriety allowed Ford to become one of the world’s highest-paid actors. He’s earned well over $300 million during his professional career.

This profile provides a detailed breakdown of Harrison Ford’s net worth, film compensation, additional income sources, highest-grossing projects, and real estate investments.

Quick Facts

  • Paid just $10,000 for Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope
  • Earned $610,000 for the original Star Wars trilogy
  • Total earnings from Indiana Jones reached $105.3 million
  • Regularly commanded $20 million per movie during the 1990s
  • Earned $65 million from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Acting Career

In his early career, Ford was frustrated about his lack of success as an actor, so he became a carpenter to supplement his income. The director George Lucas gave him his first substantial film role in 1973 when he starred in American Graffiti.

In 1977, Ford collaborated with Lucas again in search of success. He finally got the role of Han Solo in Star Wars. His performance helped raise his profile; after that, he starred in the film’s two sequels.

Around this time, Harrison Ford starred as another legendary film character on the big screen, Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark, directed by Steven Spielberg. The film spawned several sequels, and after his success in the Indiana Jones films, he starred in Blade Runner (1982), directed by Ridley Scott

Ford became a top movie star and enhanced his reputation as a dramatic actor by performing several significant roles in the ’80s. He has achieved many awards, including an Academy Award for his performance in 1985’s Witness and his role in Star Wars.

Paramount Pictures managed to entice Ford out of retirement in 2008 to produce Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. He was offered a lucrative back-end share of the profits, which was enough to get him back on the scene. The film was the year’s second-highest-grossing movie, with $786 million at the box office, and became the highest-grossing Indiana Jones movie.

Recent Projects

Since then, Ford’s involvement in acting projects has been sparse, although he’ll regularly reappear if the paydays are big enough. In 2014, he reprised his role as Han Solo again in Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens. He also more recently starred in the latest Indiana Jones film, Dial of Destiny, which was the second-worst-grossing film in the franchise. Dial of Destiny earned just $384 million at the box office.

Having been active since the 1960s, Ford earned one of his earliest recorded salaries of $150 per week while working at Columbia Pictures, which landed him several uncredited parts. While we’ll discuss his Star Wars and Indiana Jones paydays shortly, some of Ford’s most notable salaries were in the mid-to-late 1990s, when he commanded at least $20 million per film. This includes $20 million apiece for The Devil’s Own (1996), Six Days Seven Nights (1997), Random Hearts (1998), and What Lies Beneath (1999). He also earned $22 million for Air Force One (1996) and $25 million for K-19: The Widowmaker (2001).

Star Wars Salary

When Harrison landed the role of Han Solo in 1976’s A New Hope, he was paid just $1,000 per week, which reportedly amounted to $10,000 by the end of the job. However, $10,000 back then would be equivalent to $55,200 today. When he reprised the role in Episode V—The Empire Strikes Back, he earned $100,000, or $381,280, in today’s currency. For the third film of the original trilogy, Return of the Jedi, Ford was paid $500,000, which would equate to $1.63 million today.

In 2014, when he brought the role back to life in Episode VII: The Force Awakens, he reportedly paid an upfront salary of $15 million, plus a small percentage of the back end, equating to an estimated $25 million.

Indiana Jones Salary

In stark contrast to his Star Wars salary, Harrison’s role as Indiana Jones has paid him much more right from the start. According to reports, he earned $5.9 million in 1981 for Raiders of the Lost Ark. Since this is incredibly high for a salary in the 80s, we’re assuming Ford also had a backend percentage of the profits. The film grossed $390 million against a budget of just $18 million. He also earned $4.5 million for Temple of Doom (1984) and $4.9 million for Last Crusade (1989).

When the franchise was rebooted in 2008 with the release of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Paramount Pictures was slightly desperate to bring Ford out of retirement (his last project was Firewall in 2006), so they offered him a hefty backend percentage. It remains the highest-grossing Indiana Jones film ever, with $787 million at the box office and Harrison earning $65 million. In 2023, he earned $25 million for Dial of Destiny, bringing his total earnings from the franchise up to $105.3 million.

1923 Salary

According to Variety, Harrison Ford and co-star Helen Mirren were each paid $1 million per episode for starring in the Paramount+ show 1923. Ford earned $9 million in the first season, with season two targeting a 2025 release.

Highest-Grossing Movies

Star Wars and Indiana Jones produced nine of Ford’s ten highest-grossing movies, with the final film, The Secret Life of Pets 2, looking slightly out of place on the list. His two highest-grossing films are from the Star Wars sequel trilogy: Episode VII: The Force Awakens ($2.07 billion) and Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker ($1.08 billion). The Force Awakens is the only Star Wars movie to gross more than $2 billion worldwide and the sixth movie in history to do so.

The original trilogy, comprising episodes IV, V, and VI, is also on Ford’s highest-grossing list, accounting for $1.8 billion in gross box office revenue. Star Wars: Episode IV is the only movie from the 1970s to appear on a list of the 200 highest-grossing films of all time. The movie grossed $775 million on just an $11 million budget.

Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom was the only film in the franchise that didn’t make it into Ford’s top ten. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull grossed $787 million, Last Crusade earned $474 million, Raiders of the Lost Ark reached $390 million, and Dial of Destiny grossed $384 million. The franchise totals $2.03 billion.

  1. Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens – $2.07 Billion (2015)
  2. Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker – $1.08 Billion (2019)
  3. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – $787 Million (2008)
  4. Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope – $775 Million (1977)
  5. Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back – $538 Million (1980)
  6. Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi – $475 Million (1983)
  7. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade – $474 Million (1989)
  8. The Secret Life of Pets 2 – $431 Million (2019)
  9. Raiders of the Lost Ark – $390 Million (1981)
  10. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny – $384 Million (2023)

Real Estate

In 2011, Harrison Ford and his wife, Calista Flockhart, paid $12.65 million for a 13,767-square-foot mansion in Brentwood, Los Angeles. The seven-bedroom property also features amenities such as six fireplaces, an outdoor pool, a spa, and a gated entrance.

Introduction

Hayden Panettiere was an American professional actress, model, and singer with an estimated net worth of $15 Million.

In her three-decade-long career, Panettiere starred in 26 television shows, 25 films, 10 video games, and several music videos. However, she was best known for starring in hit shows like Nashville and Heroes, which earned her most of her award nominations and wins. It’s also believed that Panettiere’s wealth was primarily derived from said shows, particularly Nashville, which became the most notable role of her career.

In this profile, we’ll outline our extensive research into Hayden Panettiere’s net worth, earnings from Nashville, and the estate she left behind.

Quick Facts

  • Earned $75,000 per episode from starring in Nashville
  • Grossed $1.7+ billion in global box office revenues
  • Sold her 3,120-square-foot Los Angeles home for $3.1 million (2014)

Nashville Salary

Several reports have suggested that Hayden Panettiere earned $75,000 per episode for starring in the television show Nashville. However, this figure has not been confirmed because no timeline has been provided. Since Nashville aired for six seasons between 2012 and 2016 and faced budget issues after season four, it’s unlikely her salary remained constant throughout the show’s run.

If, for some reason, she did earn that exact figure for every episode she appeared in, 124 in total, Panettiere would have earned approximately $9.3 million from all six seasons.

Additional Income Sources

Unfortunately for us, Hayden Panettiere’s only reported salary as a professional actress was from Nashville. Nothing else has ever been discussed in the media regarding her earnings. However, Nashville accounts for just one of the more than 70 projects that Panatierre has worked on throughout her career.

She also appeared in numerous hit films, several of which grossed over $100 million at the worldwide box office, which we’ll get to shortly. Her extended film roles include A Bug’s Life (1998), Remember the Titans (2000), Scream 4 (2011), and Scream VI (2023).

As for television, three shows stand out in particular outside of Nashville. These include One Life to Live in the mid-1990s, Guiding Light in the late 1990s, and Heroes in the late 2000s.

Highest-Grossing Movies

Here’s a complete list of Hayden Panettiere’s ten highest-grossing films:

  1. A Bug’s Life – $363 Million (1998)
  2. Dinosaur – $350 Million (2000)
  3. Scream VI – $169 Million (2023)
  4. Scream – $138 Million (2022)
  5. Bridge to Terabithia – $138 Million (2007)
  6. Remember the Titans – $137 Million (2000)
  7. Message in a Bottle – $119 Million (1999)
  8. Scream 4 – $97 Million (2011)
  9. Racing Stripes – $91 Million (2005)
  10. Alpha and Omega – $51 Million (2010)

Real Estate

In March 2008, Hayden Panettiere purchased a 3,120-square-foot, two-bedroom home in Los Angeles, California, for $2.635 million. She sold this property for $3.075 million in February 2014, and it appears to have undergone significant renovation since then. The home recently sold for $13.5 million in July 2024.

Philanthropy

Panettiere supported various charities, including the African Wildlife Foundation, the American Foundation for Equal Rights, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Candie’s Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Declare Yourself, Easter Seals, Elton John AIDS Foundation, and K9 Connection.

Death & Estate

On August 16, 2026, Panettiere was found unresponsive at an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina. EMS had been responding to reports of a cardiac arrest, and after arriving at the location, attempted to resuscitate Panettiere, but their efforts were unsuccessful. She was just 36 years old. At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation of the cause of death, but evidence suggests signs of a possible overdose.

It is likely that the actress’ estate will be left to her eleven-year-old daughter, Kaya Evdokia Klitschko, whose father is former professional boxer Wladimir Klitschko. However, at this time it’s unknown whether Hayden had organized a will in the event of her death.

Between 2012 and 2020, Forbes consistently ranked Dwayne Johnson as a member of the Forbes Celebrity 100. We will discuss The Rock’s individual salaries, including those from film, later in this profile. However, before we do that, let’s dive into every single one of his entries on the Forbes list and the publication’s estimates of his annual income from all endeavors.

According to Forbes, Johnson earned an estimated $865.9 million between 2012 and 2022. His first half-dozen or so entries on the list typically listed his income between $30 million and $65 million per year. That said, between 2018 and 2022, things ramped up exponentially. The actor took home an estimated $124 million between June 2017 and June 2018.

More importantly, in 2022, Forbes ranked Johnson as the fourth highest-paid entertainer of the year, taking home $270 million. Why the sudden increase? Mast-Jägermeister acquired a sizeable stake in his tequila brand, Teremana.

Since The Rock was already a star when he began acting, he didn’t have to endure the traditional hardship of making smaller sums for his first few movies. Johnson was paid $5.5 million in 2001 for the first movie of his career, The Mummy Returns. His second movie, The Scorpion King, also written by Stephen Sommers, earned him another $5.5 million.

The movie’s success sparked several 8-figure paydays throughout the early 2000s, in the first defining era of The Rock’s acting career. This included $12.5 million for The Rundown, $15 million for Walking Tall, $12.5 million for The Game Plan, and $15 million for The Tooth Fairy.

Fast & Furious Salary

Johnson has starred in six movies within the Fast & Furious franchise. You might think that because these movies are some of his highest-grossing films at the box office, they would have earned him the most considerable sums. However, The Rock’s role in the franchise wasn’t significant enough to pay him the typical $20 million+ that stars like Vin Diesel earn from the movies.

The Rock was paid $10 million apiece for Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6, and his salary increased to $15 million for Furious 7. The most significant increase came in 2019 when Johnson and Statham received their spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, which earned Johnson $20 million. He’s estimated to have earned roughly $65-$75 million from the franchise.

Peak Film Earnings

Since his inclusion in the Fast & Furious franchise and the formation of his company, Seven Bucks Productions, Dwayne Johnson’s film compensation has skyrocketed. When it comes to discussing his highest-recorded paychecks as an actor, we’re going to separate them into two lists. Despite this, all his known salaries are already listed in the table above.

The reason we want to separate them is that many of his recent films were produced by Seven Bucks Productions. Therefore, his recorded compensation for those particular projects will be mentioned exclusively below, when we discuss the company in more detail.

Before we begin, it’s also worth mentioning that the Fast & Furious spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, was in fact produced by Seven Bucks. Okay, now that we’ve got all of that out of the way, let’s review every known film salary that Johnson has received since 2011, which his production company wasn’t involved in.

When The Rock starred alongside Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum in the 2013 film G.I. Joe: Retaliation, he reportedly earned a $15 million salary. The following year, Dwayne starred in Hercules, for which he was paid $12 million upfront. However, later reports suggest that his total compensation was closer to $20 million.

San Andreas Compensation

2015 marked an interesting shift in The Rock’s film career, with the release of San Andreas. This was technically the first film in which he played a family man with a regular career who ultimately saves the day. We would see similarly themed movies later on with the releases of Skyscraper and Rampage. The difference is that San Andreas was the only one not produced by Seven Bucks. Johnson reportedly earned $25 million from the film. That said, we should add that his upfront salary was also listed at $12 million.

Moana Compensation

In 2016, Dwayne Johnson voiced Maui in the animated children’s film Moana, earning a $21 million paycheck. He also took home an additional $1 million from endorsing the film on social media, but this may already have been included in the $21 million figure. For the sequel, which released in 2024 and absolutely destroyed the original at the box office, Dwayne earned $25 million.

This brings his total compensation from the two films to approximately $46 million, or $47 million. However, it doesn’t end there. Johnson produced the live-action Moana film, which was released earlier this year. We couldn’t find any trustworthy information on his salary, but $25+ million wouldn’t be surprising.

Seven Bucks Productions

In 2012, Johnson co-founded Seven Bucks Productions with Dany Garcia, named after one of his most iconic quotes, recollecting his days before fame:

“In 1995, I had $7 bucks in my pocket and knew two things: I’m broke as hell, and I won’t be one day. You Can Achieve Anything!”

The company has produced many of The Rock’s most recent films throughout the last decade. Now, why is this important? Imagine someone earning $20+ million upfront for starring in other people’s films. Then, that person turns around and says, “I’m just going to produce them myself.” Not only is Dwayne still earning $20+ million upfront for each new film, but he’s also receiving a percentage on the backend.

That said, his backend profits have never been reported on in the media, so any figures we discuss are upfront salary only. Johnson’s earliest recorded paycheck through Seven Bucks, other than Ballers (more on that later), was $22 million for starring alongside Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Nick Jonas, and Karen Gillan in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017). Two years later, Dwayne earned $23.5 million from the sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level.

In 2018, for both Skyscraper and Rampage (released in the same year), Johnson earned $20 million apiece. Fast forward to 2021, Johnson secured a $22 million payday from Jungle Cruise, and a similar $22.5 million payday from Black Adam the following year.

Red Notice Payday

Around the same time, Seven Bucks Productions produced the action-comedy film Red Notice. Netflix acquired the distribution rights to the film, and it was released exclusively on the platform. The movie, in which Johnson starred alongside Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, earned him a reported $23.5 million. For comparison, his co-stars earned $20 million each.

Red One Payday

This brings us to Red One, the single largest acting payday of The Rock’s career. For starring in the Christmas film alongside Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, J.K. Simmons, and Bonnie Hunt, he earned an astonishing $50 million upfront. This is the single highest amount of money that any actor has ever received upfront for a film. Johnson still produced the movie, so he would have earned even more after accounting for any backend.

Ballers Salary

YearProjectSalary
2015Ballers Season 1$4,000,000
2016Ballers Season 2$4,000,000
2017Ballers Season 3$6,500,000
2018Ballers Season 4$6,300,000
2019Ballers Season 5$5,600,000
Totals:$26,400,000

Seven Bucks Productions also produced Ballers, the sports drama that aired on HBO for five seasons, totaling 47 episodes. Bear in mind that since his company produced the show, and Dwayne was the lead character, Spencer Strasmore, alongside Rob Corddry, his listed salary is likely a combination of both.

In October 2016, Variety published a report titled “Salaries of RTV’s Top Talent Revealed.” The Rock was among the names mentioned on the list, earning an estimated $400,000 per episode from Ballers. Now, this article was published just after season two had finished airing. At the time, with 10 episodes per season, Dwayne would have been earning $4 million per year from the show.

The following year, Variety published another article on the highest-paid TV actors, in which The Rock was mentioned once again. However, this time, his estimated salary from Ballers had been increased to $650,000 per episode. Most outlets report that, over the final two seasons, Johnson’s salary reached $700,000 per episode to compensate for the lower episode counts.

Therefore, based on the information above, Johnson earned $8 million in the first two seasons of Ballers and an estimated $6.5 million in season three. The fourth season comprised nine episodes, which, at $700,000 per episode, likely earned him $6.3 million. The fifth and final season comprised eight episodes, totaling $5.6 million. If accurate, The Rock should have earned at least $26.4 million from Ballers, but several sources provide a slightly higher estimate of $30+ million.

Highest-Grossing Movies

The ten highest-grossing Dwayne Johnson movies have grossed $9.1 billion at the global box office. Here’s the complete list:

  1. Furious 7 – $1.52 billion (2015)
  2. The Fate of the Furious – $1.24 billion (2017)
