John Deacon is an English retired musician. He is most famously recognized as the bassist for the world phenomenon rock band ‘Queen’.

During his time with Queen, he notably composed many songs for the group, including Top 10 hits ‘Another One Bites the Dust’, ‘I Want to Break Free’, and ‘You’re My Best Friend’ as well as helping the band’s financial management.

Deacon started out his music career when he joined Queen on the strength of his musical and electronic skills, especially the homemade ‘Deacy Amp’, an electronic guitar amplifier he successfully made.
