Introduction

Russell Howard is an English professional comedian, television presenter, radio presenter, and actor with an estimated net worth of $4 Million.

Career Overview

Russell Howard was hired by BBC Radio 1 in 2004 to write, sing, and perform on the series The Milk Run, one of his first jobs. At the same time, he appeared on the shows Banter and Political Animal, which aired on BBC Radio 4.

Howard was a regular panelist on Mock the Week from season four to season nine alongside Frankie Boyle until 2010. Throughout his career, he has also collaborated with members of the Chocolate Milk gang, including John Oliver and David O’Doherty. Now one of the funniest stand-up comedians of all time, Russell has made himself one of the most well-known English comedy stars.

TV & Radio

In 2005, Russell Howard was one of several comedians selected to record spots for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe that aired on Paramount Comedy 1. From 2006 to 2008, he co-hosted The Russell Howard Show with Jon Richardson on BBC Radio 6 Music, taking Russell Brand’s Sunday morning slot. After he left due to feeling restricted, the show continued to air until it was eventually canceled in March 2010.

In 2009, Howard created the show Russell Howard’s Good News, which debuted on BBC Three with the first episode airing in October. After running for seven episodes, the show became one of the highest-rated on BBC Three, and two more seasons were ordered.

On the show, Howard discussed the major news of the week, emphasizing light-hearted stories rather than negative ones. Russell Howard’s Good News ultimately ran for 10 seasons before it stopped airing, though he wasn’t off the air for long.

The Russell Howard Hour

Like Russell Howard’s Good News, in 2017, Russell Howard launched The Russell Howard Hour on Sky One. Like in his previous show, Russell interviews special guests and shares his thoughts on the news of the week and other trending topics. Some of his most notable guests have been Ed Sheeran, John Oliver, Matthew McConaughey, and numerous stand-up comedians.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the show transitioned to Russell Howard’s Home Time, where he chats with guests over Zoom. The following season returned to the studio, but with no audience and social distancing until season five in 2021. In addition to this show, Howard presented Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central on Comedy Central from 2015 to 2016.

Live Performances

In 2008, Russell Howard began touring for his show Dindledodies, which was extended twice due to overwhelming demand. After selling out the Hammersmith Apollo thrice, a DVD of the tour was released in 2009, which was filmed at the Brighton Dome.

In 2013, he announced his Wonderbox tour, which was released on DVD a year later after being extended to include more UK performances. He announced his fifth tour in 2015 called Around the World, and planned to memorize the capitals of every country in the world alphabetically.

He was scheduled for his Respite tour from 2019 to 2020, though it was halted due to the pandemic and extended through 2023. Although he isn’t one of the richest comedians in the world, Russell Howard has undoubtedly become one of the funniest men on TV.

Introduction

David Spade is an American professional comedian, Actor, TV personality, and writer with an estimated net worth of $70 Million.

Quick Facts

  • Earned a peak of $300,000 per episode from Just Shoot Me!
  • Received $150,000 per episode for starring in Rules of Engagement

Just Shoot Me! Salary

In 1997, David Spade was cast as Dennis Finch in the sitcom Just Shoot Me!, marking his first recurring role on television. Spade starred in all seven seasons and 149 episodes of the show. According to reports, he was earning $150,000 per episode in the earlier seasons. By season five, his salary had been increased to $300,000 per episode.

Based on the information above, Spade potentially earned $6.6 million apiece for seasons five and six, followed by $7.2 million for the seventh and final season. Now, assuming that the $150,000-per-episode figure relates to seasons one through four (which is somewhat unlikely), Spade would have earned roughly $12.15 million. This brings his total earnings from Just Shoot Me! to an estimated $32.5 million.

Rules of Engagement Salary

In the late 2000s, Spade secured his iconic role as Russell Dunbar in the sitcom Rules of Engagement. Starring alongside the likes of Patrick Warburton, Megyn Price, Oliver Hudson, and Bianca Kajlich, reports suggest that he earned $150,000 per episode at the peak of the show’s success.

That doesn’t give us a whole lot to go on, especially since there were seven seasons, each varying in length. Season five comprised 24 episodes, which could have earned him $3.6 million, while the final season seven comprised just 13 episodes.

Highest-Grossing Movies

Spade is another of Adam Sandler’s friends who starred in all three Hotel Transylvania films and two Grown Ups films. The Transylvania trilogy comprises his three highest-grossing films, which have totaled $1.36 billion at the box office. Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation grossed the most at the box office, earning $529 million, followed by the second installment at $475 million and the original movie at $358 million.

Fourth on the list was the original Grown Ups film, which grossed $271 million, quickly followed by the sequel, which grossed $247 million.

Since Spade’s most recent films, including The Do-Over (2016), Father of the Year (2018), and The Wrong Missy (2020), have been Netflix exclusives, none have been released in theaters.

Here’s a complete list of David Spade’s ten highest-grossing movies:

  1. Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation – $529 Million (2018)
  2. Hotel Transylvania 2 – $475 Million (2015)
  3. Hotel Transylvania – $358 Million (2012)
  4. Grown Ups – $271 Million (2010)
  5. Grown Ups 2 – $247 Million (2013)
  6. I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry – $187 Million (2007)
  7. The Emperor’s New Groove – $170 Million (2000)
  8. Jack and Jill – $150 Million (2011)
  9. The Rugrats Movie – $141 Million (1998)
  10. Racing Stripes – $91 Million (2005)

Real Estate

Beverly Hills Home

In December 2001, David Spade paid $4 million for a 7,000-square-foot, five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home in Beverly Hills, California. The property features amenities such as a spa, outdoor pool, and fire pits, and appears to have shot up in value since Spade acquired it, thanks to his extensive renovations. It was also in the news in 2017, when burglars broke in and stole a safe containing $80,000 in cash and jewelry.

In January 2022, after more than two decades of ownership, Sapde returned the property to the market, seeking just under $20 million. He closed a $19.5 million deal the following month. Even after accounting for property taxes (which had reached roughly $65,000 per year by the time of the sale) and agent commissions, Spade still likely profited eight figures.

Los Angeles Home

The biggest purchase Spade has ever made when it comes to real estate, both in terms of size and cost, was his 11,300-square-foot mansion in Los Angeles. The comedian paid $13.85 million for the six-bedroom, eleven-bathroom property in October 2021, and still owns it at the time of writing. Additionally, the home features amenities such as an infinity pool, a movie theatre, a sauna, a gym, a 1,200-bottle wine cellar, and walk-in closets.

Newport Beach Home

In December 2023, Spade paid $9.5 million for a newly-built, 3,813-square-foot, four-bedroom, five-bathroom property in Newport Beach, California. David still owns this home, which sits on a 7,500-square-foot lot and features ocean views from the second floor. According to Zillow, it currently has an estimated value of $10.3 million.

Introduction

Kelsey Grammer is an American professional actor and comedian with an estimated net worth of $80 Million.

Grammer is best known for his performances on the NBC sitcoms Frasier and Cheers. Throughout his career, he has won several awards, including three Golden Globe Awards, one Tony Award, and five Primetime Emmy Awards.

Frasier Salary & Earnings

The earliest disclosed salary for Kelsey Grammer’s work on Frasier was announced before the third season. It’s worth mentioning that Grammer didn’t just star on the show; he also served as an executive producer, which is one of the reasons why he eventually became the highest-paid actor on television. For seasons three and four, Grammer reportedly earned $250,000 per episode. With 24 episodes per season, this would have amounted to $6 million apiece for seasons 3 and 4.

By season eight, Kelsey’s salary had increased to $700,000 per episode, totaling $16.8 million. This works out to a combined $28.8 million for seasons three, four, and eight. However, we’re missing five seasons in between. You can be sure that he was paid at least $250,000 per episode for seasons five through seven, securing at least another $18 million, if not more.

For the final three seasons of Frasier, Kelsey Grammer reportedly earned $1.6 million per episode, making him the highest-paid actor on television at the time. This works out to $38.4 million per season, for a total of $115.2 million. Add that to our earlier figures, and you end up with a minimum total earnings of $162 million. However, the actual number is likely to fall between $170 million and $190 million.

Divorce Settlement

In 1997, Kelsey Grammer married actress and dancer Camille Grammer. During the marriage, the couple had two children: Mason and Jude. They were together for roughly 13 years before Camille filed for divorce in July 2010. At the time, Kelsey and Camille’s divorce was covered extensively in the media. Reports state that initially sought a $50 million settlement from Kelsey, but ultimately agreed to $30 million, which was roughly 50% of the couple’s combined assets. There was also an agreement in place for child support, though this remained confidential. Their divorce was finalized in February 2011.

Real Estate

During our research into Kelsey Grammer’s previous real estate transactions, we came across over a dozen properties, primarily in California, as well as several in New York, and one in Colorado, and another in Bristol, England. Here are some of his most notable acquisitions over the years:

Malibu Estate

In May 1998, Kelsey paid $4.5 million for a 13,926-square-foot, seven-bedroom, thirteen-bathroom estate in Malibu, California. This property spans 4.94 acres and features a wide range of amenities, including a security outpost, an equestrian facility, a gym, a cinema, a tennis court, a poolhouse, a wine cellar, and spas (plural). Oh, and the kitchen was designed by Wolfgang Puck himself.

Unfortunately, Grammer surrendered this home to his former wife, Camille, after their divorce in 2011. She later sold it for $12.94 million in November 2015.

Colorado Home

In 2002, Grammer paid $5.35 million for a newly-built, 8,230-square-foot, six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home in Avon, Colorado. Not much else is known about the property, other than that he sold it for $6.6 million in September 2013.

Bridgehampton Home

In January 2006, Kelsey paid $8.52 million for a 7,818-square-foot, five-bedroom property in Bridgehampton, New York, on 1.67 acres. We don’t know much about the property other than what we can see on the aerial images: an outdoor pool and tennis court. Grammer sold this home for just under $10 million in May 2011, which was slightly less than he had expected.

Introduction

Terry Fator is an American ventriloquist, impressionist, stand-up comedian, and singer with an estimated net worth of $160 Million.

Quick Facts

  • Earned an estimated $219.5 million between 2009 and 2020
  • Signed a five-year, $100 million extension with The Mirage (2017)
  • Received $1 million for winning America’s Got Talent (2007)

Earnings History

Between 2009 and 2019, Forbes consistently ranked Terry Fator among the world’s highest-paid comedians with an annual income ranging from $17 million to $24 million. The only outlier was 2009, the first year he made the list, when he earned an estimated $10 million. The publication stopped producing the list after 2019, so we don’t have any figures for subsequent years.

During the period above, Fator earned a combined total of $219.5 million, the majority of which is attributed to his residency at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada. This residency, which lasted from 2009 to 2020, reportedly often accounted for as much as 90% of his annual income. Fator’s income peaked at $24 million per year during his first contract with The Mirage, and declined slightly when he signed his final five-year, $100 million deal in 2017.

The Mirage Residency

In 2009, shortly after winning America’s Got Talent, Terry Fator signed a five-year $100 million contract for a residency at The Mirage, a now-defunct casino resort located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Under the contract, Fator typically performed at five shows per week, from Tuesday to Saturday. This residency came to be his primary source of income and is responsible for the lion’s share of his current net worth.

Fator also signed an extension with the venue in the mid-2010s and finished out his residency in 2020. He’s believed to have performed at over 1,800 shows during his tenure at the mirage, to millions of live viewers.

Real Estate

In April 2002, Terry Fator and his wife paid an undisclosed sum for a 1,406-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Mesquite, Texas. According to public records, he sold this property for just $115,000 in May 2009.

In May 2016, Fator paid $3 million for an 8,093-square-foot, four-bedroom, six-bathroom property in Las Vegas, Nevada. The home features Italian architecture and amenities such as a spa room, wine cellar, theatre room, and an outdoor pool with a cascading rock waterfall. He listed the property for sale at $4.5 million in July 2021, although there was no word on whether he closed a deal.
